Ish Smith released; a replacement for Pressey?

So the Suns just released Ish Smith before his approx. $1mill contract became guaranteed tonight. As Pressey's approx. $800,000 becoming guaranteed tonight, I wonder if people think Smith would be an upgrade worthy of waiving Pressey.

Smith has better size - 6' -and a better offesnive numbers, but doesnt shoot the three. Not sure otherwise about the fit in the systems.

does nothing for me.  Pressey has exposure to the system so he does have that going for him

I think Smart has to get the backup PG minutes...the C's have to assess his potential before the trade deadline.  If it's believed that Smart can be the PG of the future and other big moves are not in place we move Rondo and save 10m on the cap.

I understand keeping Pressey on the roster but I wouldn't understand him getting minutes.

sorry no. Ish Smith was vilified by Orlando Magic fans when he was there. A marginal upgrade if you ask me.
