I hate to say it, but so far Phil Jackson is doing a nice job in NY. He drafted well, got Melo to stay, and signed a decent FA to a good deal.

Smith gone, Humphries gone.  With each day, Ed Davis and the Celtics look more and more like a match.  Assuming Jordan takes Boozer and doesn't go after another UNC guy in Davis.

good signing for the Knicks.  He's not Chandler but he'll be useful for them

If there is any chance that he can recover enough to give you 20 minutes/game down the line, I would absolutely go after him. This is a good stage in our rebuild to take on a project like Oden.

The power of Phil Jackson.....

I think the following are still available:
Blatche
Blair
Big Baby
Villanueva
Seraphim
Royce White (if you're willing to risk on his anxiety? issue)

Blatche?  Definitely not.  Blair?  Great rebounder, but severely undersized.  Are we trying to build the shortest frontcourt in the NBA if we played him at center and sully at pf, lol?  Villanueva?  No.  Seraphin, I thought, was given a qualified offer by the Wizards.  You might as well add Boozer to that list, as well.  I could see the Knicks going after him, possibly.  Royce White?  I know I read a bit about his anxiety disorder, but then, didn't he beat some woman up?  If that's true, then he would be a definitive no.  He's kind of a tweener, anyway, if I remember correctly.  I'm sure there's a list of available big men somewhere.

Cole Aldrich is off the board now, too, as he resigned with the Knicks.  Definitely no to Big Baby, either, btw.  Okafor is still out there, though :)  On the other hand, so is Bynum (ugh) ::)

The Celtics are not signing any more FAs unless a big trade goes down.
Celtics fan for life.

Have we all forgot Zeller? I'm more excited about that 7 footer
