It would be pretty ironic for Boozer and the Cavs if he signs with them.

Sounds like it will happen if an amnesty bid doesn't snag him up.

Boozer would be a really good addition for the Cavs. They need a skilled big man, badly.

That would be a smart signing by the Cavs. He could be gotten on the cheap, and would be a good player to teach Bennett. He still has a couple of years in the tank.

Oh and like you said, Miini would start getting desperate! Might even get him for Wallace and Anthony! :P

What's the minimum bid on him?  $3.2 million?  I wonder if Houston bids that for him if they've still got the cap room.  Or the Lakers even.  He's overpaid at $16.8 million, but he's still a viable NBA big man, especially offensively.

with him and Lebron it would truly be a redemption campaign in Cleveland

Just get Gordon Gund back in the mix and it'd be complete.

Heat seem to be mixed on Carlos Boozer. Not great fit. Doesn't shoot 3s, but could be off the bench scorer. Let the bids begin.

One GM tells me: A team needs to have $1.448M in cap space to bid on Boozer. That's what Boozer's minimum salary is.

Plenty of teams with salary cap space, but two early favorites to make bids on Carlos Boozer: Charlotte and Atlanta.

Answered my own question -- the bid is the minimum salary for him, which as a 10 year vet is $1.45 million, but a team must have cap room.  At that low of a price, I can't imagine he'd hit free agency.  Cavs do have the room tho, as people have suggested.
