I wish we would trade Rondo for Harden and not sign Bradley.
Harden is the top ranked SG in the league in PER.

One of the worst defenders in the league and a guy who couldnt make a shot in the playoffs.

Harden averaged 26 points a game in the playoffs.
He better have, he averaged 22 shots.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

So here are some interesting views on this from the Houston fan site.....http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=250906&page=291

"hes definitely available but imo I just don't see us having enough assets to pry him away from that SOB danny ainge"

"With Celtics recent additions at PG i do believe he is available, but I don't know if the Celtics would welcome a trade with Houston. Maybe Morey can swing some deals...

Pelicans 1st (top 10 potentially--great value), 2 second rd picks, D-MO, Canaan, cash could get the deal done."

"Considering Rondo was my #1 priority over Melo, Bosh and even if it meant losing Parsons I'd be ecstatic if we can finally get him. As I mentioned on several different occasions I don't know why Morey didn't trade Parsons + stuff back when the original offer was there. Rondo truly fixes a lot of our issues and he will make us immediate contenders.

My dream off season was to Trade for Rondo, sign PJ Tucker and pickup serviceable 4 and 5 for cheap.

If we end up with Rondo, Ariza, sign Boozer for cheap and pick up the backup 5 we'll be ready to rock. "

"My observations:

1. Which Rondo are you going to get? After coming back from his injury, he was terrible last year. How much of that is long term damage and how much of that was Rajon just not wanting to play for a terrible team.

2. Danny Ainge is almost as stingy as Daryl Morey. Both men are very stubborn and will not give an inch. This makes a deal very hard to happen. Also, both tend to over value their own assets.

3. Does Rondo really make the Rockets that much better? I don't think that he is in the class of Anthony, Bosh or Love.

4. Consider this, if a deal for Rondo was a realistic option, why didn't the Rockets do it BEFORE Parsons' deal was rejected? The Rockets with Parsons and Rondo are far better than a team with just Rondo. "

That was my favorite quote....talk about undervaluing Rondo and overvaluing your assets...

Sorry, but harden's lack of defense is terrifying. Unless you give me Dwight or Asik + pick, there's almost no asset that Houston can offer to match.

This has nothing to do with Harden.   That's so dumb.   The only reason Houston wants to do this is to pair Rondo up with Harden and Howard.

As I mentioned on the home page, wondering if we could turn this into a blockbuster trade involving Harden for Rondo.   We'd have to give up some other assets, but would be very intriguing for us.  Houston has to at least consider it.  Rondo would increase the value of Howard and Ariza since he is such a phenomenal play maker.
Houston should use their cap space to go after lance... and then trade Harden for Rondo.

Funny it seems Boston wanted Parsons in any deal, but now Parsons is gone... outside of Harden the Rockets really don't have anything to offer.

How about a 3 way with Houston and Detroit?

Houston gets Rondo and either Josh Smith or Greg Monroe
Celts get Harden
Detroit gets Jeff Green and picks

Man did the Houston GM screw up this offseason...not only did they fail to pick up any pieces to improve the team but they lost Parsons, their PG (Lin), and their back up center.  I think they might even struggle a little next season..the Pelicans might be a better team....and they don't have absolutely anything..NOTHING..to offer the C's for Rondo...

There best possible package:

Terrence Jones, Beverly, 1st Round Pick (Pelicans) = Garbage

I hope their fans are trolling this site.......

If this happens, you can have all of my 5 of my TPs. A fair price

I wish we would trade Rondo for Harden and not sign Bradley.
Harden is the top ranked SG in the league in PER.

One of the worst defenders in the league and a guy who couldnt make a shot in the playoffs.

Harden averaged 26 points a game in the playoffs.
On a pitiful 37% shooting percentage

40% many of which were threes. Plus, a lot of free throws.
And Houston was a +11 with Harden on the floor last year.

Not sure where you're getting your numbers. He shot 30% from 3 in the playoffs this year, 36.6% overall. Saying he was a horrible defender is an understatement.

Houston rolled the dice big time...and lost---might be a Long season for them---No way they can get Rondo...Good lesson for teams who like to Clear Salary for Free Agency. Players make and break promises all the time I guess---look back to Boozer.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

The problem with "averages" was that it overshadow his incosistencies during the playoffs:

if he didn't shoot well during their Game 1, all his stats will be below average...
