ESPN has learned that Pierce will sign a two-year deal with the Wizards at the mid-level exception with a player option entering Year 2

Weird, but they wasted no time at all replacing whats-his-face. I wonder what this means for KG.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Wow. Good deal for the captain with Ariza's departure. Weird it's only for the MLE.

Speechless. Never, ever, saw that coming.
Long-form is far from dead, but please refrain from paragraph-laden posts! Who wants to read that?!

This just seems dirty. Not a good dirty. Shocked he's leaving Brooklyn and kg.

Same here.  Why Paul, why?  Washington isn't a contender.  He should have stayed with KG.

I guess he thinks Washington has more of a shot at winning than Brooklyn does...which is probably accurate.

Isn't the MLE like 5 mill or so? I thought he was looking for 9 - 10. Are the Wiz that appealing?

wall+beal is 2nd or 3rd best backcourt in the league.... now they have a legit SF and decent PF/C.

Fun fact: PP and Jason Kidd have the same agent.

This doesn't make any sense. There are plenty of contenders that would offer him the mid-level. Washington is not a contender... this is the wierdest thing I've ever heard.

Our draft picks look better I guess.

What a kick in the balls for KG.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

Brooklyn barely made it out of first round primarily because of Pierce. He has a better shot at making some noise in Washington. They can use his experience because they have plenty of youth.

Those Nets picks are looking pretty awesome.
