I don't think so.

Wade should take a pay cut (10M per) and MIA should go after Deng or something.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Wow, someone should tell Riley that Lebron is going to Cleveland.  Miami is garbage without him

well this is kind of shocking... I don't really see how this makes sense for the heat. If they were not good enough to win with Lebron, Bosh and Wade, how in the world will they be good enough to win losing Lebron and having a new competitor in the East?

If Wade takes a discount, they will have room for two big time free agents. They could potentially add Stephenson and Greg Monroe (or many others)

The Cavs are no sure thing, and there will be a lot of disparity at the top of the league this year.

Any of these teams could potentially come out of the East: Cavs, Chicago, Indiana, Heat, Wizards, and Raptors (and the C's of course)
T
hat is NOT accurate. Stevenson has already turned down 11 million and Monroe would need to be a max to not have Detroit match. Unless wade decides to take 3 million that ain't happening. Also Wade has gone on record saying he won't take much of a discount.

I would root for the Heat in a playoff series versus the Cavs.
So would I.

I wonder if they regret the McBob signing now?  He is kind of redundant to Bosh.
I think they will work well together.

Bosh flourished offensively next to Andrea Bargnani in Toronto and McRoberts has some similarities to Bargnani in terms of shooting ability and floor spacing. McRoberts will pull opposing big man out of the paint and allow Bosh space to attack a slower big one-on-one.

I think they can work together as a starting big men pairing or with McRoberts as backup PF. Play Bosh next to a true center for defensive purposes. Then bring in McRoberts to open up the offense. Give Miami two completely different looks and ways of beating opponent.

But yeah, while I think they will work well together ... cap space definitely the preferable option. Miami need a third star to go with Bosh and Wade. Having that extra cap space would have given them more options in getting that player.

I am trying to figure out how much Cap the Heat will have..

Salary Cap 63 million

Heat Salary for 2014-15

Bosh 21 Million * Reported Number
McRoberts 6 million
Norris Cole 2 Million
Wade 18 million (this is a discount from max of 21 he could get )
Danny Granger 2 million
Napier 1.3 Million
Haslem 2 million (opted out of 4 million hard to see them giving less than this)
Total: 54 Million
Cap Holds for rights to Anderson, Allen, Lewis, Beasely, Oden, Chalmers
Is it possible any of the above will come back?

From this looks like they could have at most about 8 million in space. Any experts confirm? Doesn't really seem close to an offer for Melo and they don't really have any assets.

It might be time to go back in for Isaiah Thomas with remaining cap space.

Luol Deng's representatives spoke with Miami officials today, league source says. Deng hopes to choose landing spot in next 24 hours.
