There's no other way to get better now except to trade for Kevin Love. Since we can't trade Smart for another 30 days and he has shown nothing impressive outside out teachable defense, we basically have to swindle a team to taking Smart at the current hype. He's that bad offensively guys, accept it.

Celtics trade:
Marcus Smart
2016 Nets pick
2016 Cavs pick

Blazers trade:
Damian Lillard

Love and Lillard would easily get us top 3 seed in the East.

Lillard's not available, but if the Celtics were to trade for someone like him, it'd be for the purpose of flipping him to Minnesota, who seem to want a young player who can be a 20ppg scorer for them.

Why do people always post trade ideas for players who are not available? Lillard just brought his team to the playoffs and is only entering his 3rd year. Why on Earth would Portland even think about trading him?

Why are we also writing off Smart before he even plays a preseason game?

i think portland's done with draft picks (oden, bayless, brandon roy)
and damien is a potential superstar in this league... there's no way that they'd ever trade him. And with the team that they have, i doubt that he'll be asking for a trade anytime soon.

And why will the Blazers trade Lillard??

From your 3-way-Trade, it seems you dump the scrubs and bad contracts to the Philly..
they're rebuilding and the last thing they want will be bad contracts... unless their GM is a genius

No way Portland does that. Plus you're not trading two picks especially the Nets pick which could be a player better than Lillard.

Smart has gotten better every game. He scored 15 in the second half. Made some nice moves to the hoop, and finally hit some out side shots. He'll get all summer to work with a shot coach to fix any issues.

You say he doesn't show anything that isn't teachable on D. He has a nose for the ball, gets to the spot very quickly, and can't be backed down easily. The best thing, that is no way teachable about his D, is that he gets a ton of deflections. And most of them are coming off of passes from the guy that he's guarding. That is very quick reflexes, which you can't teach.

He even said once he learns the NBA game, his game will open up for him. Plus he's playing with scrubs that make it harder.

Plus Rondo's not resigning in Minni, so that wouldn't happen.
