I am expecting near max money in a sign and trade.

Teams are going to miss out on Lebron, Bosh and Melo.  Teams are not going to get Love in a trade.

Monroe is the next fall back position.

Which teams are these? Cavs? Bulls? Knicks?
Celtics fan for life.

I'd certainly rather be paying Greg Monroe $15M per year than Roy Hibbert over the next few season . .. .and I've never even seen Greg Monroe play!!  :o Just going on his size, age and stats and the fact that he's not Roy Hibbert (who I used to be high on).

At least 12 million per year.

14 might be about right, since he still has his prime ahead of him.

Sounds right but so hard to say when you see AB and Frye get $8 mill a year.

I think big al is a good measure, they are similarly gifted players with similar styles.
Monroe was seen as having a higher defensive ceiling in his draft scouting reports and has yet to reach Al's production.
I think he'll match Al's offensive numbers and if he gets in the right system he'll be a better defender.
Add the loony inflation that seems to be the NBA norm I'd say he gets $14-16m.
And I'd be fine with that.
