If LeBron goes to Cleveland,

I could see a sign and trade of Wade to Milwaukee for Sanders/Mayo benefiting both teams.  Wade gets his money and he can get the same "return home" superstar treatment that LeBron gets and he gets to play on a team with good, young players.   Miami gets a younger player in Mayo and a good (although knucklehead) center.

Wade isn't going anywhere. He's Miami's Kobe.

I think Lebron and melo are looking to see if bosh ends up in Houston. Then melo can take his place in Miami.

Ha! So you think they're just leaving the window open and hoping Bosh will find his way out. That's really interesting =)

I don't think it will happen but what's the holdup? If Melo was all along going back to NYC then what's he waiting for?

That's exactly what I meant by starting this whole forum topic. Can't understand what the real hold up is. Melo - if you are going to NYK then do it!
LeBron is holding up Bosh, who is holding up Melo, who is holding up a KLove trade, which is holding up ............Amare S/Shumpert to 76ers. etc

Could be wrong, but if the Celts want to make moves, I don't see how Lebron, Bosh and Melo's lack of decision affects them.

The only area I could maybe see with Minnesota, Cleveland and Kevin Love.

If Lebron goes to Cleveland, then I could see Minny trying to pry Wiggins for Love so the Cavs have a super trio of Kyrie, Bron and Love.

If that doesn't happen (which I don't think it will) then maybe Saunders takes Boston's offer more seriously.

Other than that, I don't see how the decisions of the big free agents should impact the Celts.

I think Melo is waiting to see if Bosh leaves Miami for Houston.

If he does, I think there's a very good chance Melo joins Lebron in Miami.

If not, then Melo probably stays in New York.

LeBron's giving his team an opportunity to make the necessary moves to improve the team.  Free agency just began and teams can't even legally sign anyone yet... so Bosh/Wade/Bron said they'd give Riley a bit of time to figure this out.

It's been reported that Bron will have a face-to-face meeting with Riley later this week.   Meanwhile, Riley went out and made a couple signings... Granger and Josh McRoberts.  He was attempting to find a way to get Kyle Lowry while keeping the Big 3, but that failed.

I imagine that Bron will finally meet with Riley this week and get the ball moving on his final plans... then the dominos will fall.

Players can't even begin signing actual contracts until July 10th (Thursday)... so it's not like he's actually holding anything up.   He'll probably meet with Riley before that, sign somewhere next week... and everything else will fall into place.

LeBron is holding everything up, the fact that we are in a moratorium doesn't mean that there isn't  usually more action on the trade and FA market this time of year.

TP.....so agreed. usually there are sooooo, many rumors and speculations but LeBron IS holding everything up. If he would make up his mind either to give a verbal agreement to sign in CLE or MIA then everything else would THEN fall into place.

4 years ago exactly that "The Decision" happened... July 8th, 2010... but I'm pretty sure that was the first day free agents could sign in 2010 (end of the moratorium)... This year it's July 10th.

Yes LeBron has frozen the FA market both times he's been a FA, that's what happens when the best player in the league is a unrestricted FA.

Well, it's not as evil as the Lakers.

Exactly. I can't blame Lebron for letting Miami try to get some assets before he decides to sing on the devils contract. If he just signed and Miami could get any one else to sign, then they are in the same place as last year or worse.

On the flip side, FA's might not sign because they don't know if he's staying or not. Would you want to take a discount and Lebron not come and you end up on a lotto team making crap money. I know the contracts aren't good until they are officially singed, but what if an other team offered more, and now they've filled that spot, like a Lowery or Gortat.

I'm sure there are deals in place for every outcome that could happen. The second he says "I'm going to play for....." phones will go Ape $#$#!
