I don't think 3rd year players are allowed..? Think it's just for rookies and 2nd year players...at least it used to be.

I don't think 3rd year players are allowed..? Think it's just for rookies and 2nd year players...at least it used to be.
I thought I seen some guys who've been around longer than a couple years but maybe you're right

real answer: Typically starters, or even rotation players, don't play in the summer league. You're not trying to impress someone for a contract, after all.

but [dang], TP's all around for the pithy zingers.

They know what Sully can bring, he doesn't need to prove himself. He would be eating minutes from Iverson (pun intended), who has to show himself.

And if he was to play in games, he would need recovery time and rest, and that would mean he could work out less. For Sully, his work outs are more important right now.

I believe he's also recovering from an ankle injury, which the Celtics would rather he not re-aggravate, as it would further inhibit his conditioning.

CJ is technically a third-year player.
