say what you will about Smart's Rondo-esque shooting ability.   I still think he's going to be a stud defender off the bench, a good long-term contributor with starter potential... and I refuse to believe that we would have been better off accidentally making the playoffs with a sub-500 record, getting swept by the Pacers in 4 games... and getting stuck with someone like Adriene Payne with the #15 pick.    Smart should be a much better asset heading forward.  We need all the assets we can get.

Rondo is a better shooter than Smart.

I agree, dont care if we win or lose, but it is still sad to see our rookies and players struggle this much :-X

It's one summer league game.  What did I learn?  That I'd like to strangle Isiah Thomas.

I thought the lesson was that Marcus Smart is a scrub player who doesn't belong on an D-League team.  ;D

Smart had a really bad game. I don't like how he either shoots the 3 or drives in. He needs to develop that mid range jump shot

Ugh, watching Gordon and Payton on the Magic summer team really frustrates me. Payton has that burst and when Gordon skies for a rebound it's HIS rebound. I wish we could have gotten one or both of these guys...

He made some ridiculous comments in a game I was watching during the first day of summer league.

The game was a blowout and the losing coach had the main guys in at the end with far too little time to come back. Isiah explained this as the team having pride and not wanting to lose. This guy is clueless if he thinks keeping them in was due to ego. Not everyone is an egoist like you, Isiah.

The players were in because it is a summer league game and the teams want to see the guys play. The final score doesn't dictate lineups. Preparing for the camp is what dictates lineups.

Why? I'm satisfied with Smart and Young and I like Gordon.

Reed ate us up on the interior.  Iverson was owned by him.
