If Melo wants to play with Rondo bad enough. I think we should help out the Lakers by taking advantage of their desperation

Boston trades Rajon Rondo

LA trades : Steve Nash, Julius Randle, a future #1 pick.

A team of Rondo Kobe and Melo and Pau is a treadmill squad in the West. Maybe get to the WCF for one year but the Celtics would get a potential franchise 4 in Randle out of the deal.

If Melo wanted to play with Rondo so bad he would just demand his way to Boston.

Why would we help the Lakers get better by trading a top three point guard for a young potential of whom we have a log jam at his position and a meaningless draft pick when we already have too many.

So we're essentially trading Rondo for a rookie power forward, when we already have two younger power forwards we just drafted in the last 2 years???

Time for me to take a vacation.

Yep. And yet people don't want to trade KO or Sully because they are the next superstars for Love, but people want to take on a unproven rookie PF that doesn't play D, same issue people point out about Love, and eventually have to move KO or Sully for Randle.

I might join ya on that vacation...:D

Rondo is a role player. Players like him are what you use to take advantage of organizations such as the Lakers. Julius Randle is younger, more athletic, and cost controlled. Rondo is a 2nd tier point guard who is going to be 30 shortly. That's not a good mix for a team that should have blown it up last year but failed to do so. Kevin Love wisely used Ainge's misguided desperation during his trip to Boston. There is no chance that he would willingly go to a 2nd-3rd tier market such as Boston. The weather is terrible and there isn't much marketing potential. Everyone needs to get on the right path and not cling to misguided hope of being a treadmill team. Next years draft has a deep crop of centers and we could have a shot at Okafor. This helps to speed up the rebuilding a bit since Randle is light years better than Sully or Olynyk.
Loloool rondos a second tier player ????????

Top 3 point guard Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.!!! He isn't even top 3 in the eastern conference!!
