Dream scenario...unlikely to occur but...

Step 1:

To Minny:

Green
Bradley (s and t)
Olynyk
Humphries (s and t)
Various picks

To Boston:

Love and Martin

Step 2

To Brooklyn:

TPE and their 2017 pick back (we no longer keep right to swap)

To Boston:

Garnett

Step 3

Sign Pierce to MLE

Result

PG: Rondo/Pressey
SG: Smart/Martin
SF: Pierce/Young
PF: Love/Sully
C: Garnett/trade using non guaranteed/Iverson/Fav

Banner 18 and pierce and kg retire in green...yep only in my dreams but still like thinking theres a chance!

that team will not beat LeBron Gasol Bosh and Wade if Pat Riley is able to get those four together.

No thanks.

Too much talent to give up for Love.

Basically you're giving up two guys who are the ultimate competitors and team players (Bradley and Hump) along with a you big with good potential (Olynyk) and guy who can shut down the best SF's in the league on any given night defensively, while also proving he can come up huge offenisvely in the clutch (Green).  PLUS you're giving up multiple draft picks.

In return you get two guys who are major defensive liabilities, one of whom (Love) has never really won anything in his entire professional life, lacks leadership skills, and is severely lacking in loyalty.

Between the four of them (Bradley, Green, Hump and Olynyk) last year we got about 49 points, 23 rebounds, some very nice defense (other than Olynyk) and the ability to cover 4/5 positions on the court.

The combination of Love and Martin does not substitute for that loss in any area bar maybe scoring.

Assuming you're talking about everybody except love, because that guy has zero 'heart' or competitive fire in him.

why this logic doesnt work for me.... those 4 players that gave 49 points and nice defense... had 13 less wins and 15 more losses than kLove's team that play in the west. and Love's role players are pretty average (except pekovic) IMO

Pretty sure Love has a heart otherwise he wouldn't be alive right now.

I really like this idea, but we'd need another center to use KG sparingly.

As tempting as this looks, we are mortgaging almost our entire future on this trade. This is almost like the Nets strategy of "make a run now", and see how that worked out for them last year. That would be a sleek roster, but in all honesty, we have an abundance of draft picks, and we will lose a good amount on this entire trade. And reality wise, we are virtually giving up a good chunk of our  trade value for Love. He isn't worth giving up that much IMO. The celtics should just go for a center like Okafor or Hill. Also, we still need a center to backup KG, and Pressey hasn't impressed me yet. Hopefully he will mature this season and become a much better shooter. Now, if the Celtics made a minor trade for Kevin Martin, I would like it a lot. Also, I don't see the Nets letting Kg and Pierce go, as they gave up a lot to get these guys, and letting them go in one year (especially after letting Kidd already go) would make their entire trade meaningless. Still, I can see Pierce still re-signing with the Celtics (which I hope happens a lot) on a 2 year contract with the vet minimum, and if KG would like to come one year cheap, I wouldn't mind at all.

I can see how it is fair for the teams.

Wolves get a lot of decent players that are all upgrades for them. Add in only one Brooklyn pick to Wolves and it's not too bad for C's.
C's get Love a top 10 player. KG an experienced big and Pierce a vet with 2 years left as Young comes along.
Nets move on from their gamble and at least cut some loses by getting a pick back.

Only issue is defense that team would surely struggle.

Agreed - we try to package the non guaranteed contracts for a center from someone (maybe dalembert from the Knicks if melo doesn't resign).

I also left out Brandon bass. We'd still have him as well.
