End of 1st

Quick Thoughts....

Olynyk bigger stronger and looks even a little more mobile

Iverson is big and hustles

Smart looks a little uneasy...forcing a little too much, two bad threes...

So happy basketball is back for the moment. Quick thoughts: Pressey - killer crossover, great passer. KO - Has been benching tractors.

I'm astounded by Kelly's physical transformation in just two months.  Wish I could get on that training program.

I'm also impressed - maybe we should buddy him up with Sully for the rest of the summer.

CI is looking good and active--though yeah, his offense is limited.

KO is looking good, but between his travels and the bulking up his touch on the 3 is off and he's still suffering some defensive lapses.

And a probably worthwhile serving of humility for the new team leader in his first pro game.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Nice FINISH by Iverson!

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

I have a strong feeling when the regular season starts it's going to be hard for Smart to stay on the floor because the refs will give him all rookie calls and not be use to his defense.

The amazing thing is that he still has plenty of time before the season to make more improvements.
He looks faster to me as well...especially side to side...anyone else agree?

I hope Colt gets a shot in the regular season this year.  His hustle would make him a fan favorite.

Celtics need to preach boxing out.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

KO looks entirely improved not just faster but a lot more confident on the court.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

His lateral movement is definitely improved. I'm officially excited to see him next season.

Bertans made the most of his 4 1/2 minutes.
