Colton...keep or send overseas again?

Too early to say

My one-game answer is 'keep him'.

My one game answer would be let him go.  He just wasn't good enough defensively to make up for his lack of offensive skills and he doesn't finish with authority around the rim.  If he were blocking shots and dominating the boards then I'd think about it, but I didn't see much defensively or in dominating the boards.

He was solid, but solid in the Summer League when you are a second year pro doesn't cut it.  I think that guy Dontay Green from the Nets team was way more impressive.

Yeah, let him go! Cause we have plenty of those Centers on the roster. Bring Donte Greene! We need a PF badly!

You are worried about an inch?  Greene was every bit as tall as Plumlee and a lot thicker.  I personally think he could do everything Iverson could do better than Iverson, and a ton of stuff Iverson can't.  But hey, I'll put you in charge of the "bring back Fab Melo" club because we need a guy who can be a center and nothing else.

We had him, remember that - http://www.celticsblog.com/2013/8/15/4624580/trade-rumor-celtics-to-trade-fab-melo-to-memphis-for-donte-greene

The consensus was that he is lost between SF/PF, cannot shoot, is a poor defender and rebounder for his size. We cut him immediately.

And he was drafted in 2008. That makes him a 6 years pro. As per that logic he should eat people alive out there.

Y'all are laughing, but it's sad. I go home and deny the wing."

Do they have full replays online? Or should I be lurking to see when NESN will replay?

OLYNYK...Nice off season, looks great beefed up and seems to play a little smoother.
PRESSEY...Too many turnovers and should not even have played, imo.
BABB... Poor guy can't catch a break.
IVERSON...Could be a backup this year, plays hard.
MOSER...Hit some threes.
SMART...6 steals, needs work on offense but the kid is a monster.

curious...all of you that said the game was not on NBA-TV, were you using tin foil on your antenna??? 8am pacific time , live Directv

I didn't remember that.  I thought I'd never heard of Dontay Greene, but clearly I had... once.

Who does KO remind you of in terms of game? I can't think of anyone off the top of my head.

bigger, better shooting Boris Diaw

I swear 2014 is going to go down in history as the year of the selfie, the ukrainian civil war, and comparing things to Boris Diaw

Smart - First half looked like he didn't belong in the NBA on either end of the court. Second half showed some signs. Definitely looks like he needs a lot of work on his shot. Going to be a scorer versus a good shooter most likely. Looks very slow out there though with suspect handles. Not sure if he really has NBA PG ability yet.

We did not watch the same player. Smart looked like a defensive stud for every minute he was on the court so I have no idea how he seemed like he didn't belong in the first half. He struggled off the ball, but any time he played PG, he made great decisions with the ball. Good to see.

He's never going to be the kind of player to have fancy handles, but his handles are good, and it will be tough to knock him off the ball with his strength.

We did watch the same player. We are basically saying the same thing except you are forgetting he rarely played the point in the first half. The second half he got a lot more opportunity to do so and I agree he played better at that spot. He didn't do much at all in the first half, and then looked solid in the second. I do agree his strength allows him to not have to be quite as good a ball handler as he won't be pressured as much because of it.

Smart is a point guard, not a shooting guard. Good defense, good instincts, not a great shooter.

I like what Pressey did to Napier. Welcome to the NBA, young man.

This maybe a long shot, but is there any way we can watch the full replay of this game anywhere?

i was curious how iverson looked.  i believe he can make this team this year as a big off the bench and spell whomever we wind up with.

Right now moser is ahead of babb and johnson.

Babb couldnt hit anything.

I thought Johnson was the one having the rough night whereas Babb looked decent (though him going 1-5 is surprising to me).

imo Moser benefited immensely from playing off Smart and Pressey, as well as playing against Miami's flawed blitzing defense (they stopped the initial PnR but everyone else got lost after that). It's nice that we have multiple passers able to capitalize off that.

For now, Bertans intrigues me. Looks like a player.

Perhaps we should really take small ball to the next level, run guards at the 3...
