Nice pickup for the Utah Jazz.

Novak is a polar opposite player to Jeremy Evans. Both combo forwards. Evans a terrific athlete, active defender and possession creator but limited offensive therat. Novak a floor spacing three point specialist with limited defense & rebounding.

Good contrast in skill-sets between the two players. Gives their coach some flexibility in how he matches up against certain players / lineups.

Groundbreaking, LOL.  Actually, kid is an awesome 3 point shooter, at with the Knicks.  Did he play much for Toronto?

Along with Novak and the two years and $7.2 million left on his contract, the Raptors will send a future second-round draft pick to Utah, sources said. The deal can't be completed until the league's moratorium ends on Thursday.

The Jazz will send the Raptors guard Diante Garrett, who, with a $915,000 non-guaranteed deal for this season, will be waived, sources said.

Wow, that is a lot of money for Novak. I take it back. Not a worthwhile trade for Utah. Novak is a minimum contract caliber player. A one trick pony. A third string specialist. Can't be paying people like that $3.6 million a year.

Good job by Toronto getting that ugly contract off their books.

Utah has got to have some trades planned...this signing only makes sense that way. they are a young team in the West, no need for an older one dimensional shooter after drafting Hood, Exum, and they say they are keeping Hayward? Still got burks too (who I would have signed for half of what Bradley makes now.   Something is up  in Utah,  watch for it.
