I lost respect for Magic fans a long time ago.  Anyone remember that jackwagon Orlando fan who created that video in the 2010 playoffs about how our geriatric players were going to get owned?  They were so obnoxious about it.   I was so glad we beat them in 6.  Every time I see Magic fans, I think of that delusional little punk.

Well, I would have been hugely disappointed too, had the Celtics drafted Gordon. So, I can certainly understand their reaction.

One of the best drafts in the last two decades and you take Aaron Gordon with the 4th pick.
I would be furious too. I would've been furious if we took him with the 6th pick.

Just can't see him becoming a 20 ppg scorer but they must see something we are missing.

It's a bit curious.  I guess their front office had a dramatically different feeling than public perception, because some people thought he'd fall outside of the Top 10.  I'm pretty sure I would have reacted the same way had Boston passed on Exum to take Gordon.

I'm willing to give Hennigan the benefit of the doubt since he was part of the OKC front office that "reached" when they took Westbrook at 4 in 2008, so he must've seen something most didn't in regards to Gordon.

That said, I think the trade for Payton was completely botched.  They effectively traded two firsts and a second round pick for him.

It would be funny to find out latter that they took Gordon because they thought they had a trade lined up, to only have the team back out, which kinda would make sense.

Maybe Randle and Vonleh rubbed them the wrong way like they did with Boston. They aleady have a 2 guard, and got Payton for the PG.

So while they could have gotten Exum or Smart maybe there was something Gordon did during work outs that got their attention. Kinda like Young did for us.

Orlando plays after us on Sat. I'm defiantly going to check the game out to see why they snagged him at 4.
