Blazers did not think they'd be able to sign Spencer Hawes, who's talking w/Suns, or Channing Frye, rumored to be target of Cavaliers.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Lol, Chris Kaman? Hard pass. Well he doesn't pass, but I don't think he can contribute regularly anymore.

If Chris Kaman gets 2 and 10, those two guys are going to make serious bank in free agency.

They will make in the neighborhood of $7-8 million, much like most other seven footers that are good enough to start. Also, $5 million a season is fine for a backup big.

That's a lot for a guy who was inconsistent last year and racked up many a DNPCD.

$5m is better than we gave to the guy who can't dribble, pass and finish inside. ;D

I would rather sign the 23 year old than the declining 32 year old.

Dumb signing. Kaman is finished. Waste of money.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Kaman is one of those guys that a contingent of people around here always wanted to sign, but I never had any interest in. I am glad he signed with somebody else even though we desperately need a center.

I actually thought Kaman was finished a year ago, he was practically an anchor for Dirk and those Mavs to carry.  Sammy Dalembert was somehow an improvement.  Can't wait to see that team with Tyson Chandler back, he's probably worth another 10 wins for them.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
