I don't want to cut into anymore of next year's cap space for a temporary addition to team. Long term fixtures only.

If Pau would take a 1 year contract, I'd be interested but I can't see him doing that.

go over the cap a little. Wyc can't be a cheap azz if he wants to start winning soon

With Gasol we should be able to make 7th at worse.

If he were 3 years younger YES, now NO he's too old and we already have two 4's that are gonna be very good and need to play.

We are honestly one really decent center to bring this team together.

I have confidence in the KO/Sully duo at the pf spot, Jeff Green while inconsistent will still produce, AB/Smart is a deadly defensive guard pairing, Rondo is hopefully healthy. Our bench with one of KO/Sully, Bass, Wallace, Young, Smart , (plus a backup center and FA signing)  looks like a much better bench than last seasons.  Smart can also backup Rondo at the PG.

I want Ainge to give Emeka Okafor a one year deal (if he can pass medical).

Okafor missed all of last season but he was good the year before for Washington. His shot-blocking and defensive presence would be brilliant for Boston.

You think he's available on a one-year deal?  What kind of money you think he'd command?

imo 10 million. Risky but could be a good move. He had a neck injury right? That doesn't sound as bad as a knee/foot injury

Yeah. He missed the entire year with injury. I don't think Okafor is going to get much money per annum or years on next contract. I think there is a good chance Okafor will be available for the MLE ... but it looks like Ainge will have the TPE available for Okafor if more is needed (which it might be to keep it to a one year deal).

Okafor comes in, has a good year (hopefully!), cashes in on his last big payday next summer.

there is little to no news about interest for Okafor.  Hopefully Danny is one of the first to show interest

The Celtics can't offer anyone more than the MLE at this point.

Are you including the cap holds for first round draft picks?
