I think he'll pick Chicago. I think Houston looks like a really great move but I think Chicago is the safer bet. They'll have to play Lebron most likely, but the eastern conference overall is so much easier.
That team with Noah, Rose, Melo is a team that will be amazing defensively, I think Melo and Harden on the wings is going to give Dwight a lot of extra work on defense.
The main risk for Melo is that Rose never returns to even 75% of his former self and his salary will haunt Melo kind of like Amare's did in NYK.
Just much harder for Houston to make it out of the East considering the Spurs have a season or 2 left, the Clippers are on the rise, you have OKC and Portland then you've got Randle and Gasol at Memphis together for the next 3 years after Randle's extension. Did I mention Phoenix becoming a nightmare playoff match up this season?
I'm not sure who plays next to Dwight or who plays point guard but they'll need some serious defensive help.
Just imagine Derrik Rose penetration and dishing to Melo, or Melo posting up and kicking to Rose who's making a hard cut, while McDermott sits on the other side of the court behind the 3 point line, and Noah boxes out as the 3 goes up.
That team is title favorite if Rose is 90% healthy for the next 3 years.
