I liked how well Humphries played for us last year, but he was a power forward posing as a center.  We need a legitimate center if only to allow Sully and Olynyk to develop at the four.

Give em Bass .

If they wanted Bass, I think Love would have been a Celtics by now.

doesn't surprise me they're interested.  solid vet player that could be had for reasonable cost.  if they do trade Love and Martin and are able to bring in solid contributors, adding Hump would only help them improve.

I like hump but i'm sick of seeing this team with 1 foot in rebuild mode and 1 foot trying to make the playoffs. being a borderline 8 seed with no chance of winning it all is the worst place to be

signing hump means we want to make the playoffs. lets make a decision on which way we want to go.

He also went to Minnesota and not sure by might be from Minnesota.

this sounds funny hmmm. Bradley signing makes a lot more sense if you have Love

Bos sends: Smart, KO, Hump(expiring) Bogans, 2 1sts
Min sends: Love and Martin

PG: Rondo
SG: Bradley  / Martin
SF: Green    / Wallave
PF: Love     / Bass
 C: Sully      / Fav

Still need a rim protector

Minnesota is his home in the offseason. This makes some sense if they end up trading Love.

It's funny how a guy like Greg Monroe generates so much attention but Hump quietly (minus the Kardashian thing) goes team to team and does his thing.

I personally would rather have Hump back (whale?) but that's because he was solid last year and I like te way he plays.  Unfortunately he hinders the young PF development because he deserves minutes.

Nice

The Wolves like Humph.

They're looking to get rid of Martin's contract.

We've got a matching deal for them in Bradley.

Maybe Humph, Bradley in S/Ts among others including picks for Love and Martin.

Hopefully the stars are aligning.

perhaps i am missing something here. humphries is an unrestricted free agent. he can sign with minnesota and minnesota has to pay the celtics absolutely nothing in return, correct? nothing as in zip, diddleysquat, zero, nada.

why would minnesota trade away assets to get humphries when they can simply sign him? not sure of the logic here, so help me out.

next....i am in favor of letting humphries walk. he is not going to help the celtic rebuild, and might harm it by winning 1-2 more games for the team next season. i think next season is year 2 of the rebuild, and means another stinky season....and humphries has shown that he will not move the celtic team away from being bad.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I think Humphries appeal is that he plays hard, is good in the locker room and can rebound. If we bring him in on a reasonable contract to help our youth, i'm all for it. However, if Minnesota wants to offer a big contract they can have him. I'd much rather us gamble on a true center, or at least someone who is considered a shot blocker.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

i believe all they have left is the MLE, which is why a SnT would help him get the salary he might need to have.

Kris Humphries is not the secret piece that lands us Kevin Love.

He is a nice back up power forward, and the MLE is about as much as a team should spend on a backup 4. The Wolves should sign him without compensating the Celtics, otherwise they are overpaying.

he is definitely worth more than the MLE. he's a double double guy. not worth what he got paid last year. but worth more than the MLE.

Plus, if the Wolves are stupid enough( and it seems they are) to look for win-now type players, he fits right into that mold.

certainly better than the scrap heap that the Bulls were offering.
