Looks like all that LeBron to Cavs fluff was just that.

Crazy offer sheet.  Kinda hope Utah's dumb enough to match just to laugh at them too.

In fairness, Irving/Hayward/Wiggins will be a fantastic regular season league pass team.  We can always use more of those

I'd rather keep Jeff Green.

So many teams with cap space this summer.

Owners and GMs don't know how to control themselves when they have cap space.

The offseason filled with crazy contracts is just beginning.....

Maybe, the Cavs offering more money than Utah would like to pay will convince the Jazz to look at sign and trades all over the league to get the best return.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

On a rebuilding team? I'd rather have Rudy Gobert and salary relief.

If I was the Cavs, I'd be offering that money to Greg Monroe if I've got to spend it somewhere. Oh well.

I don't think the Jazz will want Jeff Green since they're rebuilding as well. I'm happy with Green right now. No need to rush to trade him if the price isn't right.

Strong perimeter rotation

PG - Kyrie, Jack
SG - Hayward, Waiters
SF - Wiggins, (Hayward)

Big man rotation sucks though.

PF - Thompson, Bennett, Clark
C  - Varejao, Zeller

Need to upgrade one of the starting big man slots to be sure of a playoff spot.

Honestly, with the Cavs' roster, I'd be intrigued with the addition of Hayward at the SG spot. A really good target for Irving.

I think this is a good move by a team that needs to make a move to upgrade talent.

I still need to see the breakdown of Irving's contract though, before really deciding, but even though I considered Hayward a huge mistake for us, I like how he fits with the Cavs.

Meet the new Cleveland management, same as the old Cleveland management.

That Jeff Green contract looks better all the time.

How does a contract offer like that make it through an organization?  There wasn't one person who looked at it and had a seizure?

Their thinking is pretty easy to understand.  They have cap space.  They have a hole at SF.  They decided on who the best available SF was, then they decided how much money was needed to pry him away.

There were probably people in the organization who thought it was a bad idea, but there no alternative idea to offer if the decision makers were set on getting the best player available at that position.
