I think given Indiana's prior interest in Rondo, the news of the Bradley re-signing, that this makes a lot of sense for both teams.  Thoughts?

I don't see how re-signing Bradley gives this idea more sense, just the opposite.

No and way. I still think lance is a contract year player to some degree. While the combo of he and smart could be interesting I think rondo can bring back more in a deal.

Personally, I don't think Danny wants to lock up both Bradley and Rondo long term.  Especially, with Smart and Young now in the fold and the number of times I have heard Danny mention length the last couple of weeks.

Bradley is the perfect combo guard off the bench, borderline starter on a championship caliber team.  Stephenson, in my opinion, has a higher ceiling, could better play alongside smart, and could also play the three once they go ahead and dump green which, I feel, will happen this offseason.  Not sure where yet.

If they dont want to pay Lance 10+ mil a year and are going to lose him, I could see them wanting to sign and trade for Rondo.  Rondo would be able to get more out of Hibbert too.  Problem is, how are they going to justify paying two point guards so much?  Are they going to put Hill and Rondo on the court together? Play George some at SG and give minutes to Copeland and Solomon Hill at SF?

I could see it more from our side.  Rondo may want big money next year and might leave anyway.  We can play Smart and Lance together in the backcourt.  It would be a huge backcourt and dominant defensively.  Bradley would make a good 3rd guard behind them, we would be a nightmare for other guards.

Stephenson is a nut-job.  Watch him get paid big bucks by a team and begin his slow implosion.  The only thing that has kept him on the straight and narrow has a been a strong relationship with Bird, but even Larry admits that has become strained over the last year...

No thanks.

We need effort guys for the kids to grow with.

So far every FA signed has been at least 2 million per a year overpaid. I had hoped D.A. would have stuck to paying a guy fair $ and not falling for typical early market overpays. I am disappointed but not shocked.

So why did Larry just give Lance the superstar treatment and extend him a 5 year 45M deal?  Guess Larry disagrees with you...

If you think "every" FA has been $2M overpaid, perhaps you need to consider the possibility that you are "undervaluing" everyone, rather than the professionals "overpaying" everyone....

Don't want Stephenson anywhere near the Celtics.

Our team is too young and devoid of unwavering leadership to make room for a volatile player like Lance.

I didn't stat that Larry thinks he's crazy I said that their relationship, which has always been reported as very close, was strained last season.  I know Bird likes Stephenson...that doesn't mean he's not a volatile player and a cancer in the locker room.

Seems like Lance does't the Pacers offer....many reports that he would rather talk to other teams.

Could you imagine a top 8 of:

Smart
Bradley
Stephenson
Young
Green
Olynyk
Ed Davis
Sullinger

If we get a defensive minded shot blocker like Davis, we might lead the league in Defense with Stephenson here.

I'd be on board with him as a small-ball three.  Imagine the defensive backcourt of a three-guard unit of Smart, Bradley, and Stephenson.  If Bradley continues to improve his shooting and Lance improves his distance, too, I think that'd be a pretty [dang] good setup.

Some might say he's too small to be a three, but he's guarded the Lebrons and Carmelos of the world before.  I don't think it's that much of a stretch with the defensive potential they bring.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.
