Wow. I get the cap figures to rise, but dang.

I guess with a bagillion teams having cap space, the market inflates.

I think the chances of Klay Thompson going to Minny have just increased as Curry and Livingston could make a pretty good backcourt combo.

Last year is partially guaranteed, but I agree that still is a heck of a lot of cash.

Another bad signing. $5 million is too much to be paying average bench players. Shaun Livingston was great value on a minimum or near minimum deal. He was acceptable value on $2-3 million a year. But $5 million, that is overpaying.

How much do you think Mario Chalmers will get offered?

Actually yeah. Livingston's a better ball handler and playmaker than Thompson and is still a good defender.Still, Iguodala and Livingston would not make for good wing spacing but Love would help that.

I would value Chalmers around $5-6 million. He is coming off a disappointing playoff run so odds are he won't get overpaid. Might actually make a little less ($4.5mil per annum?) if Chalmers is unlucky.

Good for Livingston.  He must have worked incredibly hard to make it back to the NBA.  He's one of those players who you say "What might have been."

This is true. Think it's a fair deal for a guy who can cover either guard position and provide better PG play behind Curry than what they've had.

Bad for BKN since they'tre capped out. S&T coming.

Although their skill sets are different, I don't see a value difference between Livingston and Chalmers. They are both borderline starting point guards, and good enough to be 20-30 minute per game combo guards on a contender.

Both are worth 5 million per year.

Is this the mle or a sign and trade? Didn't think Brooklyn could do a sign and trade for this amount.. GS isn't under the cap right?

They're having this discussion now about Love's chances

Capologists will surely rap me on the knuckles if I've strayed offside here ... but I believe Livingston deal means Warriors now hard-capped

That means further roster changes for Golden State can only come via minimum signings + trades now. Bi-annual went to JO'Neal last summer

RT @MarkDeeksNBA: @ESPNSteinLine Yes they are. And that hinders their Love chase (ENLIGHTEN US HOW, PROFESSOR DEEKS)
