Trying to give Ariza a new deal and gave Webster one last summer. A lot of money spent on players who aren't good enough to lead the team far into the playoffs. Beal due a contract extension in two years too.

It really depends if John Wall can become a superstar and Beal an All Star.

Never mind that Wall's likelihood of becoming a superstar isn't very high. After 4 years in the NBA, I don't see it and the numbers don't support it.

As a Washington fan, I groaned when I read this news. I would have liked to see them let go of Gortat amd try to go after Monroe. As Wall hinted, they'll probably overpay for Ariza too.

Talk about a toxic contract with McGee.  If McGee can be any kind of defensive center I might consider Wallace for him, but then they might have to throw in a first round pick.
