So they traded Jason Kidd for a pair of second round picks and Lionel Hollins.

Far and away the best trade this Nets regime has ever been involved with.

Nets have got to get several bench guys who can score right away. Without them, it's unreasonable to expect KG and Pierce try to carry the team all regular season and then do it again in the playoffs too.

the question is since hollins got a proven pf of z-boo in Memphis,  will he put pierce back at SF and move johnson to SG?
i think the best billy king can do is by trade thorton for varejao and karasev or waiters, instead of jack
and use mmle on jameer nelson, put varejao to PF, mirza as back-up PF with jefferson a rookie
the problem is ak47 not getting a playing time, but they can do this
williams, johnson, pierce, varejao, lopez or kg (much better i think?)
2nd unit
nelson brown/waiters or karasev, ak4, mirza, plumlee or kg? or maybe omic? (not bad though)

Uhh, where is this idea that Pierce and KG are going to have to "carry" the team coming from?  They didn't do that last year and they're most certainly not going to do it when they're a year older.

It'll be interesting to see how Deron Williams and Lionel Hollins work together.

I'm under the impression that Hollins as an ex-PG himself and NBA Champion has a very particular view of how a PG should function. I think this worked well with Conley because Conley had the right mentality and skills for that viewpoint. However, Deron Williams is a much more talented scorer and is used to having more of the ball than Hollins would perhaps like. So it'll be interesting to see whether Hollins adapts to Deron or whether those two are on a collision course.

Ha! My first thought when I saw this was, "More than $4M for Ryan Hollins!?!"

Fortunately, it was only Lionel pulling in the loot.

lol...
but lionel hollins is much better than jason kidd as a coach

Billy King made it unanimous: now nobody in NBA takes my advice. Good news is, Hollins is seriously considering hiring Westphal as top aide

Hollins says he wants Nets to play w/more pace: “My goal offensively is to get a lot more ball movement, a lot more side to side penetration.”

It's a little hard to do anything when you are getting 15 minutes of play time (KG). It's even worse when you are being forced to play alongside another player who is almost exactly like you in Johnson and needs the ball in his hands to dominate, significantly lowering your scoring because you don't control ball (Pierce).

KG bench player PF? or C?
or starting PF? or C?
would you do lopez and kg together again?

and one more question, if they traded thorton to cleveland including maybe zeller
then signed there summer league 7'1 alen omic

PF's: mirza kg plumlee zeller
C's: lopez kg plumlee zeller omic

how will that go?

with coach hollins, would you bring pierce on the bench?

Diva IMHO. I don't know if he can handle Hollins' strict rules
