Really....I mean really. Why are teams creating cap space so that they can 'offer' LeBron whatever he wants to join their team? I think its a given that he, although will get offers from 4-5 teams, will STAY in Miami.
Wade and Bosh opted out to make sure that LeBron is maxed out in Miami. and I'm sure someone like Lowry will take less to go there as well.

But what I don't get is why do teams THINK they can lure LeBron to their team? What I wonder is what would it take for him to change his mind from resigning with Miami?

He's the best player in the game.  He's switched teams before.  This is probably the last chance you get to talk to him.  He's coming off a disappointing loss in the Finals where he had very little help. There isn't a good chance he leaves, but most of the teams pursuing him, particularly in the East, have no chance to surpass the Heat if he stays there, so it's certainly worth the opportunity.

I agree that it's unlikely he leaves.

However, there's clearly something he's upset about with Miami ownership. I actually like that he's putting pressure on them to make moves.

It will be a massive upset if he does indeed leave. It will cement the fact that he's got no loyalty (to a team, management group or teammates).

Lebron signs with the Bucks.

Owners sign over team to Lebron.  Lebron, now self-employed, counts nothing against the cap.

Just saw an article on ESPN saying LeBron wants a max contract. Most interesting part, to me:

If James follows through with his demands for a deal starting at the full max number and the Heat also re-sign Bosh and Wade, then Miami will likely not be left with appreciable salary-cap space even if Wade and Bosh accept pay cuts.

The story also mentions that the Heat could have the midlevel and biannual exceptions, but I thought you couldn't have both?

No, he's not.  How much 'help' does this guy need, anyway?  This whole situation is just laughably ridiculous now, quite honestly.

I didnt read this particular article but what I saw one that made it seem like if other teams wanted to begin to negotiate with him the starting price was a max offer BUT if he stayed in Miami he might still take a pay cut.

Are you serious? There's a lot to not like about him but you can't question his talent.   It's pretty much indisputable that he's the best player right now.

I think it's hilarious that both Wade and Bosh are willing to take pay cuts to give Lebron a max contract. In my opinion the fact that Wade & Bosh opt'd out means Lebron has already given a Verbal commitment to Miami, other wise why would he have had them go through with the opt outs? That'd just be **** move to have them lose out on money then skip town.  Also people need to give the Spurs the credit they deserve because that Heat roster would have beat any other team in the west but the Spurs put on a perfect performance and all of a sudden the Heat roster isn't good enough.

He is upset that Riley didn't win him a championship.
