Yahoo Sources: Armed with young talent, assets and max contract space, Suns will pursue a LeBron-Carmelo partnership.

They could actually pull that off. They have some nice players, and could easily round out the team with FA signings.

Beasley still counts $6.25m on their cap next season.  Ouch

Great assets, best medical staff in the league, great coach. They have a shot at it. I admire them for trying.

Seriously, I would LOVE to see this happen.

It be nice to see another team get the headlines for a change other than the same ol' same ol' of Miami, LA, Chicago, New York, yawn, yawn and bigger yawn.

I wish it was our Celtics getting the real big names but it's not likely, at least not right now (though I still want established veterans like Love, Monroe, Deng, etc.)

But Phoenix also has a legacy of championship basketball and all-star teams and would like to see this happen (thought it's doubtful.)

One question I have however is how does Phoenix have cap space with all the players they currently have under contract? (Bledsoe, Dragic, the Morris twins, Gerald Green, Alex Len, etc.)

They made a great move to acquire Bledsoe while on his rookie deal. Dragic signed to a below market deal before anybody knew he would blow up (only 7.5/year). The other guys (Len, Morris twins, Plumlee) are all on their rookie deals so they're not making much, and vets like Green are making little (3.5 mil, expiring 2015) so he can be moved easily. Also apparently Channing Frye (6.8 mil option) can be waived (http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/nba/suns/2014/06/29/suns-lebron-james-carmelo-anthony-pursuit/11706943/)

It's too bad those long rumored Bledsoe/Jordan to Celtics deals never happened. Sterling (and Doc) screwed us, basically. Sterling kept leaking stuff to the press and delaying the process which pretty much guaranteed Stern would have to step in and forbid any players being unofficially "attached" to the Doc deal. And Doc obviously didn't want to lose any Clippers assets he didn't have to. It's debatable how interested he really was in bringing Pierce and Garnett with him.

Sarver would never open up the budget. Absolute pipe dream.

I beg to differ, there are two realistic chances...

One is slim, the second is none.

Mary? ?. I desperately want to make love to a schoolboy. ? No, no, no, I, huh. That?s not what I meant. Haha. Ummm. What I meant was uh ? I like you Mary. I like you a lot. I want to ask you a question. Straight out. Flat out and I want you to give me a honest answer: What do you think the chances are of a guy like you and a girl like me, ending up together? ? Hit me with it. Just give it to me straight. I came a long way just to see you Mary, least you could do is level with me. What are my chances? ? You mean not good like one out of a hundred? ? So you?re telling me there?s a chance? YeeEAH!!

Best movie ever!

If we could use our trade exception to free up space for them and get next year's Laker pick in the process, well, I would be for that....
