2015 - three first round picks, ours and the Clippers and maybe the 76ers
2016 - two first round picks, ours and the Nets
2017 - one first round pick, the better of ours or the Nets
2018 - two first round picks, ours and the Nets

You can kiss the 76ers pick goodbye. No way they're trying to win after seeing who they drafted.

So certain are you.

What do we get if the 6ers miss the playoffs

A high second round pick.

One thing I believe is that we're more apt to trade guys on their rookie contracts than first rounders if we are trying to tank.

This will ensure low salaried players locked up for more years. It'll also allow us to accumulate or turn over these young guys for more picks.

Hopefully it doesn't come to that.

very.

they unloaded most of their talent last year and the only appreciable addition they'll have for this coming year is Nerlens Noel - a second-year player in name only who's coming off a knee injury.

they've practically ensured they will be the worst team in the league next year.  Milwaukee, the only team with a worse record, improved themselves with Parker AND they actually have more talent on that roster -- no way that roster should have had the worst record in the league.

Orlando - 3rd worst record last year -- had a killer draft and figures to be much better.

Utah - Added Exum and has the chance to move Kanter for another player that could help them.  I think they'll be marginally better.

C's - Rondo for a full season and added Smart who figures to contribute from day one.  still no center but should add one via free agency (probably a stiff but still someone who can eat minutes at that spot).

Every other team, improved via the draft and has more talent than Philly -- by a wide margin.

if this is why they are trying to unload MCW i hope this blows up in their face and they suck for 10 years

Sure. It's likely really 7, and they aren't as valuable as we believe or else a trade probably would have been made on draft night. Unless we're offering up our own, that is, which I don't think we should do at this point in time.

We have to wait till there's a definitive indicator about what the Nets picks will be.

I believe half of those first round picks will be gone for a trade

If I were to guess, we might want to keep at least ONE first rounder each season just in case.

I can also see half of those first round picks gone before next draft or 2015-2016 season

HOPEFULLY, in my theoretical world, Smart transforms into a good two guard, all star caliber next season and with Rondo.

The other first rounders and players can be traded for another star or two.

just a dream

I'm pretty sure everyone is. Yeah most are stuck on if the 76ers pick will be a first round or two second rounds, but it's with in the thread.

If theres something specific you wanted to discussed add to it. Like what should we do with those picks? Or how good will they be.

It's left pretty open the way it is.

it's basically two 1st rounders each year. I sincerely hope we're able to package half of those away in good deal/s.

If things progress as they are, I think the Nets picks will end up consistently in the 16-22 range. And our picks will likely get progressively higher, from 6-10 this and next year, to maybe 8-13 in 2016 and 17. Then probably out of the lottery and in the playoffs by 2018.

Yes, beat me to it. A tp for your speed.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
