Last year we got rocked/abused however you want to say it, inside the paint area. We are winning by the end of the 3rd quarter and the coach of the opposing team says guys just attack the rim, they got nobody to protect the rim. And i think we lost enough games this way .

Sullys dad a few months ago stated on the air that sully was promised or kind of promised that the team will finally get a starting center. It has to happen

I like where the way the team is headed right now. We picked up two very good players though young should be able to contribute right away (Smart defense, post up, drive and Young with spacing out the floor bc of his shooting capability).

But not getting a legit starting center not only hurts the teams progression but also each individual player on the court.  Whatever you do, how hard to work to defend, nobody is there to bail you out.  On the offensive end you also got nobody you get you those couple of offensive rebounds, tip ins, garbage dunks you need once a while when things are not going your way.

Danny missed the boat to get Asik and he shouldn't just be sitting patiently waiting for someone to dance with him (to make a trade with). Instigate , overpay a little if you have to. Worse case he needs to bring in guys like Stiemnsma or Cole Aldrich.  So i'm expecting at worse that he will pickup a starting calibre center or worse case a really good off the bench Center to start for the team.

I kind of agree with this sentiment.

However, we need a capable center so that our young power forwards can actually improve as individual and team defenders -- against players they'll be guarding if/when we become competitive.

The next draft has plenty of good centers. Danny knows this and that is why we have not made a move for one yet....thats my belief anyways. I do not think we will be competing this year.

Put me down for Aldrich, Oden, and Okafor.  Cole Aldrich is a pretty good player on both ends.  Just give me a few minutes to find some YouTube clips.  I'm surprised that he hasn't gotten much of a chance in the league yet.

Faverani and Sullinger is going to be it I'm afraid. I'd sign Oden, Bynum, and Okafor. One of the 3 might stay healthy enough to be decent.

Here we are.  I really like how he keeps the ball high when he rebounds (for the most part in these highlights), in addition to his being able to use both hands on the block.  Look at those left-handed hooks (both jump hooks and an old time one)!  He'd be cheap, too.  Why not?

Yeah, that's not exactly a high bar there.

No, not really.

After the first dozen games or so I recall a Fav ROY thread, how could we be so wrong.
