Chandler Parsons is a little overhyped because of his second round draft status and small contract, but he is a decent SF that could fit very well with Rondo or Smart at the point.  What are your thoughts on making an offer for him?  At what point does Houston have to let him walk?

I would rather just keep Jeff Green. Better defender.

Green does have better numbers as well....it just his inconsistency that drives fans, coaches, reporters, and Im sure his teammates crazy.

If he played half as hard every night as Parsons , he'd be on the All Star team

Really depends on the contract at this point.  He is a nice 4th or 5th option, but some team might pay him like a 2nd option.

It would cost too much to pry him away from Houston. If for some strange reason he'd want to come to Boston (it's not a good team now) and also Green weren't already on the roster making 10 million, it'd be more realistic.

Honestly, I don't think the Celtics are going to be making any moves like this this summer.

Better numbers??  Parsons had a 15.9 Efficiency Rating vs. Green's 13.2.  Chandler was CLEARLY the BETTER players last regular season!!!

Parsons is a much better shooter and passer than Jeff Green is. A much better fit in Steven's motion offense.

I think Houston is motivated to match any reasonable offer sheet for Parsons, but are interested in working out a sign-and-trade if it brings in a star.

If you are looking to sign Parsons to an offer sheet that Houston won't match, you should be planning to spend more than Jeff Green makes.

Parsons' two advantages over Green are that he makes quicker decisions (huge in  motion O) and appears to have two hands.

Two handed players usually have the advantage over one-handed players.

I don't think it's an upgrade that would make much of a difference, though.

no.

Ainge passed up on him already. Ainge imo seems stubborn as to what kind of players he wants on the team

I really want to like Jeff Green.  It's just, ya know, go out there and do your darn job every night, that's all I'm asking.  So, I'd prefer Parsons, just because Jeff Green is stealing money.
