Not very hard, but if he's attainable vs. other options, then sure what the heck.

But I don't like him. I prefer a center with more defense to him. But might be worth a shot if nothing else pans out and we don't have to give up a lot of value (in assets) to acquire him.

I think Detroit will match any offer.

Detroit might be open to a sign and trade but I think their asking price will be very, very high.

Skilled big men who can play C position and are still relatively young have huge, huge value. If Detroit do not get big haul in sign and trade, then it's best for them to match offer sheet, keep him for now and trade him further down the line (when they can get good value).

I do not expect any big free agent signings. Just small ones with MLE.

I think next summer (2015) is when Ainge will go in for big free agent additions.

We don't have cap room to really offer much. I'd think that the only way to get him would be if the Celtics offered Rondo in s+t.

I was wondering if we could get Detroit to S&T Monroe and send them to Minni, We get Love, and send Green and Sully to Detroit.

Detroit can move Smith to PF were he really should play, they get a decent SF, and if we send Bogans for expiring, they have room to sing a FA. And Sully is a nice back Up and future it they can move Smith later on.

Minni gets a young established player they wanted.

Send and take on other players to sweeten the deal and fillers, and a pick to each team for playing nice.

I wish real life was like NBA2K, it would be so much easier! ;D

I like him, but I'm a KO fan and like him at PF, so I always think of a Center to go with him.

Edited. This was already suggested.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

I would co-sign a 3 team deal here, but I don't think Sully and Green would interest SVG. Think we'd need different young players.

Also figured I'd check, Monroe's agent is David Falk.  Same as Jeff Green and Jared Sullinger.  Wish it had been Bill Duffy...

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
I think adding Monroe would make us a playoff team. Since we would need to do a sign and trade to get him the question for me would be how many picks would it cost the Celtics and how much money per year. If we could get him for reasonable money I would probably give up two firsts for him, if it's max money I would only give them one first with extremely heavy protection.

If we are rebuilding having a good 23 year old center isn't the worst idea.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19
