Even if the report is true, this is not going to happen, at least not at this point of free-agency... Miami have too many concerns on how they'll build their roster to constrain themselves to the hardcap with this trade.... and probably they'd need to renounce the rights to pretty much most of their other free-agents just to get this done or such.

Just not worth paying attention to at this juncture.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Masai Ujiri trading for future draft picks is so Masai Ujiri.

Man, the Heat will come up like gold if they do this one. Screw the future and those picks, upgrade the PG spot by adding a near All Star level player in Lowry. I wonder how much money he'll command and how much pay cut the big 3 will take.

$15 million apiece for LeBron, Wade and Bosh ($45 million total)
$10 million for Lowry
$4.5 million for Haslem
$1+ million for Napier
$3 million for 6 roster spot cap holds

That is about $64 million.

****!  To quote Simmons, why do teams keep helping the Heat?  Lowry is too good to be had for cash and crappy draft picks.

He basically has been in the past.

So... It doesn't matter if he wasn't very good when he was younger.  He's a good player now and just led his team to the playoffs.

There was a lot of talk about Toronto trying to unload him this season.

I think the trade might be for Bosh. Bosh returns to Toronto.

There is a story out there about Bosh possibly interested in going back to Toronto

Make of that what you will

So after Lebron, Bosh and Wade opt out and re-sign, it's not like Miami is going to have the money to significantly improve their team, right?

I mean all they'll really have to offer is the mid-level exception and the vet minimum, right?

I'd make a return to T-Dot if I'm Chris Bosh. Is time for him to be THE MAN again. This time, he'll have a much better DeMar DeRozan as his sidekick and Jonas Valanciunas as his security blanket on defense. This is a much better Toronto squad that what he left before. He can be THE GUY here, make more money (well, IDK about it after taxes and all) and solidify his HOF resume'.

In that case then, you would think Toronto would want to keep Lowry

This 'story' is based on the Ric Bucher tweets/report that he has since retracted (see my post above)

Well they cant have one or the other, as we assume that Lowry will be traded for Bosh.

Of course they'd want to keep Lowry WITH Bosh, but who does T-Dot give up to acquire the forward?

Im just saying that Bosh should be in favor into being traded back to Toronto if Kyle Lowry is headed to Miami for a SnT.
