...so much for fireworks.

I am not even sure what happened last night qualifies as a sparkler.
(and I am not just referring to the Celts. I am referring to the NBA as a whole. I was expecting alot more movement among all 30 teams.)

What did everyone else think about the draft?

I liked the Marcus Smart pick and but I am not sure about the James Young one.

Drafting a center would've been nice.

Back to the Smart pick, I do like it because of his intensity, size and the more I think about it, I am not so sure this means the end of Rondo.

After Smart was picked, I loved how he was interviwed by the ESPN reporter as he asked him something along the lines of "you're one guy who thinks he can defend Lebron. Is that true?"

And Marcus said something along the lines of "I don't know if I can, but I'd like to."

Love it!

Strong confidence for a rookie.

He may be the perfect answer to Dwayne Wade.

I agree, I can't remember the last time the draft was so predictable.

Well, I expected Vonleh to go where Gordon did, but other than that everything was mostly as projected.

Yup, very predictable. My favorite part of the draft was the Marcus Smart interview and how he talks about wanting to defend Lebron.

McDermott, Randle, Saric or even Vonleh would have been ok imo! This just leaves me flat unless we deal Rondo for someone young with tremendous upside. Like Rondo for Embiid type deal. Rondo for Randle, Nash & 1st. Something like this! Rondo keeps us at mediocre playoff team status, either we tank or trade to get drastically better Love etc. Mediocre I can't stand, reminds of the Rick Fox years as a Celt! Boy did I hate watching those teams!

I actually enjoyed last night's draft

the part where the NBA drafted Austin had me in tears

I was also jumping out of my seat when we got Smart...so overall a good draft for me

I like Silver

100X

Better than Stern

Silver is a more like able person IMO than Stern ...Silver is more down to earth acting ,  Stern just rubbed me wrong for years or gets under my skin.

So....I actually thought the show was ok .....overall

Could have been better  if we had got Wiggins ....oh well

I liked it.  Was it suppose to be fun?  I don't get it.  It' s just a draft.

I'm pretty happy with it. Was worried we'd trade Rondo. We didn't. That's a win in my book. Looking forward to making the playoffs next year with our bolstered backcourt.

Silver is a breath of fresh air after Stern.  He's been great so far.

Last night was boring, but I'm still expecting fireworks over the next month.

Are you saying the draft was predictable because the top three was exactly who was expected and there was no one trading up to those spots?

Best draft in about four-five years if you ask me. The less likely it felt that Love was coming here the more okay I became. I don't want Love here to be honest. I feel like he's going to be another Carmelo going from Denver to NYK and I don't want my team to give up a king's ransom for someone who has a eerily similar attitude to Howard.

Loved the Smart pick, was horrified we'd pick Vonleh and give us what feels like our tenth PF and I knew we weren't getting a C. The way Rondo and Bradley are injured once a year between the two of them for the past four years makes the acquisition of another PG perfectly fine with me. Especially how I see him fitting next to Rondo in lineups.

Finally a young team. Now if we could only get a C and shed Bass, Bogans, the TPE, etc.
Long-form is far from dead, but please refrain from paragraph-laden posts! Who wants to read that?!
