He's opting into his $16.5 million contract for next year, and will be extend for 2 years, $20 million for the two seasons beyond next.

interesting, he is giving up ~$6 million per year that can go to re-signing Gasol. this was something Memphis really needed as a mid(?) market team.

Good for Randolph. Saw this coming. Him and Gasol compliment each other perfectly. He wants to win, Memphis has good pieces but needs more to get over the top. This may allow them to do so.

Nice move by Randolph.
