By far hands down Smart was best player on the board left. Yes is he a point guard yes he is. Can he play the 2 along side Rondo? We will see in the future. Drafting young at 17 This team needed to get a Young type player. The kid is 18 years old nobody is polished at that age for god sake. For everybody Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing Danny didnt do anything. Asik would have been in Boston for one year as a Rental. I am so glad we didn't  give up a first round pick for him. It takes time to rebuild a team. True fans stand by there team when times are bad. Stop Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing and let these kids play a game in the NBA before you start to complain.

Based on what is possible to know at this point in time, I think DA drafted just fine.  Drafting is a crap shoot at best.  You just never know.  These appear to be solid picks.

Now let's see what else DA can do.  Rondo might get traded still and there is no reason Love trade talk can't continue.

Young is a huge steal. in this draft he was supposed to be a lotto pick. i think in any other draft he goes top 7, last year top 5. I think Young will thrive from rondo. he's be a great pair for a ball dominant, pass-first pg. Kentucky was 260th in the country in assists last year. I think that's why he was so inefficienct. They didn't have any great playmakers and I think for Young to be effective he needs someone else that can create for him. I know he's not an elite athlete, but that dunk against UCONN I should hope showed he's athletic enough.
