I'd trade Rondo and a pick or 2 for Drummond.

Detroit has some major issues and we could help each other out. Maybe we have to take back Smith (personally I'm fine with), maybe the send us Monroe instead of Drummond? I don't really care but they should be considered our number one trade partner IMO.

If we got Drummond and gave up Rondo, than we just go young and long term, right now as is we seem in limbo.

that's actually a risk I would like...Drummond has perennial all-star potential in my honest opinion...beast on the glass defensively and offensively

can block shots...

offense is limited but I believe he has potential to improve even more. If Rondo bolts or if we go full rebuilt and decide to build around Smart, I think Drummond is a good start

Patric Young, who surprisingly, went undrafted. He should make our team and would get good playing time even as a rookie.
Patric Young didn't exactly help himself at the combine. Came in a shade under 6'10, and had very small standing reach. But I'll take anyone that can play C right now. The prospect of having a Sullinger/Faverani/Anthony timeshare scares me.

I'd love it if the Cs can package Sullinger and the Clippers pick for a competent center, but this type of deals just don't happen in the NBA.

That LeBron Pipe dream that involves DeAndre getting shipped out would be awesome for the C's to involve themselves in.

Centers... If they're good enough, it's almost impossible for us to get them outside of FA.

I hope we look into both if these guys, and make a call out to Philly to see if Noel is available.

Were not even close to being a contender, and you want us to waste huge amounts of cap space on a journeyman center.

Maybe we can offer a Brooklyn pick for Noel and help the 76ers suck even worse next year as that seems to be their goal.

Drummond is probably a pipe dream but Monroe is a more realistic target, could be had in a S+T. Only worries are maybe he's peaked, might not be the best big for an uptempo style and his defensive chops aren't anything special.

I do think a Center prospect has to be the target if we end up moving Rondo, but it's probably better to wait for the right one to be made available in a trade or draft than make a move for a stopgap player that won't be in the plans moving forward. Could happen this summer, could be the next. Wonder if we could pry a guy like Noel from the Sixers if it tuns out him and Embiid are competing for minutes in Philly.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
He's coming.
His name is Clint Capella and we are getting him from the Rockets for taking back Jeremy Lin and some other junk.

Morey said he's already got a deal in place for Lin. Then he drafted Capella, who Ainge likes.

Might be a chance something like that happens I suppose.

If we are going to tank again, we don't need an experienced center. Get a project. Get Steimsma back. If we do get Love or Melo, then we can worry about it-as long as we have someone who can start at center so Sully can play PF we'll be fine.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I think Danny may be NOW trying t build up,the team , dump Wallace ,  to make a full out push to acquire Marc Gasol .

I wish we could get a good young center to train , waiting for Gasol to become available

Maybe Sanders makes sense now ......I like his skills paired with Smart and Green  and Bayless.

Hey I think you are on to something.  Can we trade Bogans and the Courtney Lee traded player exception for Jeremy Lin, Capela, and Nick Johnson?

There has to be a reason Houston took both Capela and Nick Johnson.  Those guys need to be Celtics
