I don't watch college ball so I have to go on what I read. No idea if he can play PG or not, hoping/assuming he can. He may have or not have been the BPA I really don't know, it's unfortunate that the BPsA were positions we already had filled. It's tough that we got screwed with the 6th pick, think we all knew it was a HUGE blow not to land a top 3. I have to admit I'm puzzled that we took a player that plays the same position as our best player.

I do know you can not have 2 guards on the floor that can't shoot, that has never and will never work, so something has to give in the future.

To be fair I have no idea whom I would have picked at that point, seems like Danny was in a bad spot.

Not too thrilled about the pick.  I don't follow college ball, though.  Maybe Smart will be a starter.

It's a shame, though, because everything I hear about Exum is that he's a future superstar... and we lost him due to a coin flip.

I'm sad that the Celtics didn't win the coin toss if it would have meant that we could have seen your reaction to the Cetlics drafting Smart at #5 with Exum still on the board.

The better question is ... . if the OP has a job then who in the world hired him ???  I mean he can't shoot, he can't dribble, he got C's and D's in school and someone gave him a job?  Lol

Must be nice to go attack a hard working guy who saw his dreams come true tonight, makes you wonder if the press dug into each and every one of our lives how much wrong they could find in us.

I think the Smart/Rondo combo is going to be amazing. Two guards that want and need to win. Would have been top 3 in most drafts.

I could not disagree more.

Suspect consolation pick.  They needed to tank harder.

Yea many of us that wanted Smart stated that by getting him we were also achknowledging Rondo was gone. Marcus smart is not a 2.

not really a fair statement since Exum wasnt drafted for how good he is TODAY.  Lots of guys in this draft are better than Exum right now

I love our pick, Smart is who I wanted, but you cant say its a no brainer that in 5 years Smart will be the better player.

Look at Marcus Smart as a Dwyane Wade type of player and he suddenly looks a lot better.

He can be a 2. Sure, he's short. Whatever. He's incredibly strong and has a very long wingspan. He can defend most 2's in this league.

I'm not sure where the short arm stigma comes from but at the NBA combines Randle measured in at 6'7.75 with a wingspan of 7'0.

For comparison Aaron Gordon is 6'7.5 with a wingspan of 6'11.5

He just can't shoot the 3. 29% from 3 last year which was actually down from 29.9% the year before. With Rondo and Smart on the court at the same time its going to look like we are playing against a zone 'cause there defenders have back up so much.

Weight has to be a concern with Smart. At the NBA combines Dude measured 6'2 and 227. Needs to drop a biscuit or 2.
