The East will be there for the taking.  I've been all about rebuilding, but if LeBron goes out west, Boston needs to be the team to land DeAndre Jordan, pair him with Rondo, and trade for the best available Forward (Love or somebody else)

Indiana will still be around.  Chicago may land Carmelo.  Washington may still be good.  Miami will be toast.  The East would be there for someone to take.

Can we trade TPE and two picks (Their own 2015, plus one more) (plus Sullinger?) for Jordan (plus their 2014 pick if they are dumping salary?) ?   If no Kevin Love, who is out there that can put this team over the top.  I posted about Eric Gordon/Ryan Anderson earlier.  I don't think Pelicans will want to pay them that much to be their 5th and 6th best players, but Anderson off the bench behind Davis/Asik is really good for them.

I think  drafting Aaron Gordon and putting him with Jordan/Rondo would be really good, but you would have to surround them with shooters.    I thought of Bogans/Faverani for Barnes/Dudley to help Clippers get more under the cap.  Dudley has been deadly from 3 in recent years (.458, .415, .383, .391, .360) but he is going down every year.  I talked about PJ Tucker with MLE.  Plays Defense and shot .387 from 3.

We could have something like this after trading with Clippers:

Jordan  Olynyk
AGordon  Bass
Tucker  Dudley  Wallace
Bradley  Barnes
Rondo  Pressey

To be traded:  Green, Anthony, 17th pick, future picks?

Would still need to trade Green and Anthony for something.    Their salaries almost matchup perfect with Eric Gordon.  Is he worth it?   Straight up, no picks? or give them the 17th pick?  They need a SF.

Take Capela with the 28th pick.

Jordan  Olynyk  Capela
AGordon  Bass
Tucker  Dudley  Barnes  Wallace
EGordon  Bradley
Rondo  Pressey

Instead of signing PJ Tucker to MLE, if we can get Dudley/Barnes and still have Wallace.  We could keep Kris Hunphries at PF?

Jordan  Olynyk  Capela
AGordon  Humphries  Bass
Dudley  Barnes  Wallace
EGordon  Bradley
Rondo  Pressey

Its going to compete for the East.  Bosh/Wade Heat, Wizards, Raptors arent world beaters.  Maybe if Bulls got Anthony and got healthy they will win it.

Still a chance to trade for Love, but it would be Green/Bass/17th pick/2016 and 2018 Nets picks.  No picks this year (other than 17) unless they want Aaron Gordon.  If no Love, I brought up Zach Randolph as a short term solution, even if we had to extend him for 3 years)

Deandre Jordan may be our best chance to be good.  Clippers have to trade him if they want LeBron.  The East is winnable now (If LeBron leaves)  Why not help LeBron go West and help ourselves at the same time?

we're not even close to contending for the east. a team even like the wizards are 10 times better than us.

Is Jordan not the 2nd best player that is on the market?  He gives us the best chance to be relevant, and we almost traded for him last summer until the league stepped in.  He and Gordon would be tough for anyone to deal with physically.

I think you probably should have stopped after your first paragraph as most people would agree with you about competing for the east with Love and Jordan. I don't know how plausible it is, but that would be a pretty awesome line-up and very well balanced. I really would LOVE to get Jordan on this team (if we don't get Embiid).

Ok so Danny just collected 2 great assets.  Why not trade TPE and future picks for Jordan?  Perfect fit.

Look at all the talent:

Rondo
Bradley
Smart
Young
Green
Sullinger
Olynyk
Jordan
------------

Bass
Humphries?
Sign PJ Tucker?

Trade Bogans for Dudley/Barnes?

That's a really good top 8 players, just lacks athleticism at the 4. Would need to address that in 2015 draft.  (Or trade for Jerami Grant)
