I don't mind this is the Love thing doesn't happen. It looks like Embiid is going to fall to us and if you we him they should go the youth movement, As they are going to suck with or without Rondo. At least with the youth, these young guys get playing time and we'll be loaded with top picks for the next couple year.

Would LA trade us the 7th pick, just to get out of Nash's contract? I would think they could do better than that or get more from another team.

I certainly still hold out hope that we can build around Rondo, but if when the night is over, we end up with Embiid, Smart, Gordon, and McLemore, I guess it will be hard to complain about our future. That is a ridiculous young core to combine with Sully, KO, and AB.

that would be better than not shabby. I think we'll have a hard time prying #7 from the Lakers for 1 season of cap relief, unless they can entice a big FA-- unlikely IMO.

Pretty sure the last rumor I saw for #7 was Philly taking on Nash AND giving up MCW. Unless we have a young player to give back that has his kind of potential, the Lakers aren't dealing us that pick. As a frame of reference, you are saying we'd have to give up Rajon Rondo for #8, but cap relief is enough for #7?

There was a Bulpett article that referred that the C's have teams available to trade Green to.
