Sully = Overrated

Most didn't expect much after drafting him and were surprised at the maturity of his game and ability to rebound.  But after an alright season, too many Celtics fans think he's the next KLove or even David West.  He's out of shape, overweight, and damaged.  He's a decent player, but not a future All-Star.

Sullinger is 22 years old who just came off a 13 and 8 season in under 30 minutes. He's a good player that could be a David west/Carlos Boozer type.

Rich man's glen davis.  Dunno why people look at fat players and assume they'll get into shape like Kevin Love or Perk.   Most fat players remain fat players.

Because weight loss shouldn't be difficult with world-class trainers and nutritionalists.
Which is why players who gain weight over their first 2 seasons... probably aint getting slim anytime soon.  If they transform their bodies, it's probably happening pretty quick... not year 3.

That's where spending a summer recovering from back surgery comes into play. You'd have expected him to do more conditioning last summer if not for that.

We could all also expect him to watch what he eats during his recovery so he doesn't come into camp pushing 300 pounds.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

He's also probably terrified at the thought of being traded to Minny and being forced to live there for 2-3 seasons. So pack on the pounds at let Minny know about it. You want the whopper with cheese? Come get me.

He's got until October till we play any games and just finished his first full season. Let him take 2 months off.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Question is is he even fatter than last season? I think he looks the same. He needs Green Juice.

LOL. I knew a girl who lost 20 pounds with Green Juice.

It tasted like grass clippings.

That analysis confuses me.  At first we didn't overrate him and then we did?  Who thinks he's the next KLove or DWest?  I haven't seen those posts.   I think most rate him as a better than average player with borderline all-star potential.  I don't think too many would be shocked if he winds up a good rotation player or ends up hampered by chronic back issues.

Because I feel Sullinger has a work ethic unlike Glen Davis.
Ever occurred to you that he wouldn't be in this position in the first place if he had the work ethic to adhere to a strict regimen? Yeah, I thought so.

This is Sullinger's first offseason without any restrictions, I'm with the poster above I'm giving until training camp.
Missed the part where he's "rehabbing his ankle"? It's all excuses with Sullinger. Also, you shouldn't need a nutritionist if you're 30 lbs overweight, simple common sense should do.

Sullinger was rehabbing from back surgery part if his recovery is to move as little as possible go ahead quickly judge him as player who doesn't work hard I'm giving him until traing camp to get his body in shape
