1) Love goes elsewhere - most likely to GSW just before the draft

2) Embiid goes 1-5 and the C's pick another PF like Gordon

3) Wade and Bosh Opt out which most likely means Heat for another few years

Danny trades way too much for the #1 pick, then takes Jabari Parker. I think Jabari is going to struggle with his weight, and will be a short fat power forward. A good player on a bad team kind of guy.

And then after the trade, we watch Embiid fall to #6.

Drafting Embiid or giving up a kings ransom for Love.

Drafting a cripple at #6 with a bum foot and bad back, a dude at #17 who's going to play in Europe for another two seasons, trading Rondo for a 2015 first-rounder, and getting ready for a six-win season.

And then watching the Wolves take David Lee and lesser draft picks for Kevin Love, because they're in "Win Now!" mode.

That's almost exactly what I want to happen.   :).  Except I want to trade Rondo for a crappy SG from the Kings and a 2014 pick to draft a tweener who shot 40% from the free throw line.

Not getting Love or another top player and then also not trading Rondo for something.  Drafting Embiid and watching him sit on the bench all season long and having 3 more surgeries as the team stinks and then Rondo walks at the end of the season and signs with the Lakers.  (OK, so I went a little past draft night).

Rondo being traded, unless it involves a superstar in return.

A bad draft night for me would be to not trade for Love, keep Rondo, draft Vonleh or Randle and Lavine.

1) Using 6 on Gordon, I just don't see it. I think hes going to max out as a 3 and D with good athleticism, like Jimmy Butler.

2) Trading down into the second round with the 17th.

3) Another team out of the top 3 trades into the top 2 grabbing Parker or Wiggins with an offer we could have easily matched or exceeded with some Brooklyn picks.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

Trade Rondo to Sac for 2 mediocre young players and the number 8.

Drafting Vonleh at 6.

Great question. Let's get it out.

We decide to use our best draft pick in a decade on a player who hasn't done anything yet on a basketball court, like Noah Vonleh or Dante Exum. Then, at #17, we draft Kyle Anderson, who's decent shooting, veteran-level court sense, and total lack of athleticism could also be cheaply obtained in free agency in any given year.

No trades, no sexy, no nothing.

We watch Aaron Gordon, Julius Randle, Mitch McGary, Dario Saric, and all of the other dudes who have actually crushed it at a high level drop past us and get gratefully hoovered up by better basketball teams who don't have the pressure of drafting for upside.

1. Trading Rondo unless an all-star is coming back or young player Ainge believes will eventually be an all-star.

2. Trading back significantly from #17.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

Drafting Marcus Smart anywhere in the draft would be my worst nightmare.  Best Case would be Embiid, if gone Randle at 6. Saric or young at 17.
