Chris Mannix: #4Orlando and #5Utah will likely pass on Embiid

Mannix was on WEEI this morning. He said he has been told by multiple sources that Orlando won't risk Embiid with the #4 pick because of health concerns . He also said he has been told Utah would also pass on Embiid because they won't be shown any of his medical reports .

If this is the case Cleveland would likely trade down to # 4 if they want Embiid , because he will still probably be there . The only way I can see Embiid there at # 6 is if Cleveland keeps the # 1 pick , or trades it for Love .

Philly would be the only other team in the way, but don't think they take Embiid after Noel last year .


I am really hoping for Embiid, would even trade 6,17 and KO or Sully to move up to # 4 and grab him

this is potentially great news.  so we have to hope that Cleveland keeps its pick.  Too bad Jabari tanked his workout; they'd probably have already decided to take him at this point if he hadn't.

Cleveland didn't trade down when they wanted Bennett. This year they're not risking it on embiid. Its parker or Wiggins.

Cleveland will take Parker or Wiggins.  Apparently their front office loves Parker, but Dan Gilbert is a big Wiggins fan (though maybe he just loves Wiggins because it keeps the SF spot open for James).

I still think Philly takes Embiid.
