By Rebuild Path I mean we don't get Love or another impact player and pretty much just make our draft picks and play next season with what we have.

It really depends on who we draft in my opinion.

Really?  So if we draft Exum over Smart or Gordon over someone else, that will have an impact on whether Rondo signs?

I guess if we draft someone who by the end of the season is clearly a star, that may help Rondo decide to stay but that seems unlikely picking 6th?

what if Rondo wants to stay like Pierce did and build his own legacy on the celtics?

That is a possibility for sure but it doesn't mean that it will work out that way.  If you think it will, option 1 would be your pick but option 2 is also a possible outcome of Rondo taking this path.

I think they get him at a relatively fair price and his career arc is similar to Pierce although I have no idea if it'll end up being that successfull  (sure hope so).

I've maintained that this rebuild was going to take multiple years.  This team is starting to trend upwards again but it's still gonna take awhile.  I don't think we'll see something like '07 this time around.

Rondo is going to be traded.

You've been talking to Broussard, haven't you?

Don't know who that is.

Rondo will be traded, because he isn't worth big money, and Danny won't hesitate to pull the trigger on a trade.

It really depends on who we draft in my opinion.

I hear you on this.

If the Love deal is dead, and Embid is there at 6 and we draft him, I think they gotta go total rebuild and trade Rondo. By drafting Embid we'll suck for at least a couple years and Rondo will def want out. Maybe get the Lakers pick or Sacamento pick and grab Smart or Gordon.

If it depends on who we draft (which we now know), any more thoughts on whether or not Rondo is going to want to hang in with the team as it appears now to be constructed?

There still could be trades of course but I think last night provides quite a bit more clarity to the picture moving forward.

As of the draft, only a few voted on this but most of those few felt Rondo would sign at a fair salary and the team and Rondo would be successful together.

i think we're keeping him this year, and trying to get him to resign low next year (with marcus as leverage)

if it doesnt work then we move him for 2015 pick or something

I think Rondo or Bradley will be moved for a big.   Maybe Monroe to play with Smith.
