One source said that the Kings' focus, for the moment, is Thursday's draft and perhaps swinging a trade involving the No. 8 overall pick. Sources told ESPN.com's Andy Katz on Tuesday that Sacramento has narrowed its potential draft pick trade partners down to Boston, Phoenix and Philadelphia -- three teams that have multiple first-round picks.

So boston would be using picks for picks to trAde? If they want to pair rondo up with wiggins/parker this is ideal

Boston for Rondo
Philly for MCW
Phoenix ?

That's my best guess based on rumors.

Rondo or green. Likely rondo. If we take embiid sixth then rondo to sac town is more likely. Especially if BFF josh smith is there.

so 2 days before the draft, in the past couple hours, we have news that danny is looking at both moving up as well as acquiring additional 1st rounders in the draft. worked out a bunch of potential undrafted rookies. it seems he is very high on this draft, which is contrary to what he said all season that it was an average draft.

Well I always said the Celtics are either going to build around Rondo or they are not..if they are looking to the future, then trading Rondo would be the way to go..getting Embiid at 6 and letting sit all year and getting 8th pick

It has to be for Rondo.  They discussed this deal last year, but were afraid Rondo would not sign.  Now there are rumors that they are trying to get Josh Smith, Rondo's close friend.  That's an easy puzzle to solve.

I'm expecting Love to go to GS which will prompt Ainge to move Rondo.  Rebuild, here we come.

Green and #17 for #8 and filler.

Isaiah Thomas can't be traded on Draft Night.

A previous story by Andy Katz says:

Quote
The Sacramento Kings are fielding offers from three teams for the No. 8 pick in Thursday's NBA draft, sources with direct knowledge told ESPN on Monday.

Sources said the Kings have two deals that could be done prior to Thursday's 2 p.m. ET trade deadline to change the draft order and one would be a draft night deal, depending on which players are available when the Kings select.

The three deals would return multiple draft picks and a veteran player to the Kings for the No. 8 pick.

What if the Celtics are offering #17, Jeff Green, and a future pick or picks for #8?

Maybe it depends on if someone like Embiid drops to #6 and Ainge thinks the guy he was targeting at #6 will still be there at #8 instead of being drafted by the Lakers (or whoever the Lakers trade to #7) or if he thinks that a player he likes is too much of a reach at #6 but not at #8 and won't be available at #17.

What if the goal is to have a starting lineup of Embiid, Sullinger, McDermott, Bradley, and Rondo?

I could easily imagine that Boston is offering the better deal, but has more conditions based on who is available at #6 and #8.
