I think a really valid question is to ask if Ray has enough left in the tank for lebron to necessarily want to have him tag along.

He is still a good shooter (although his 37% mark this year is not great for a specialist getting wide open looks and worse than say, derek fisher). However, the other aspects of his game are really deteriorating.

He is a really bad defender now. Part of the flood gates opening up in some of the spurs games was Allen not being able to rotate on shooters.

His game also speaks of being a little bit in denial about his declining skillset. He had a couple of 3+ turnover games in the finals where he was trying to do more than he still can on offense.
Lets not forget he complained about the celtics not letting him go off the dribble when leaving town. Does he still feel this is part of his game?

He also provides no rebounding or passing. It is kind of interesting that Lebron has alluded to wanting to get on a team with younger wing players that can help on defense and provide him some rest. Ray Allen seems to provide none of that.

Don't want to be contrarian but "Interested in continuing to play with LeBron" isn't the same as "Just tell me where to go and I'm there, sir!"   

It could be as simple as, "Ray, would you be interested in playing on LeBron's team again, even if it's not in Miami?" "Sure, LeBron's a great player and we won a ring together".  No need to blow it out of proportion.

Ray Allen would be lucky at this point if he got to follow Lebron to his new team. He was really unimpressive this year, and for a guy who has one job - shooting 3s - his percentage wasn't exactly off the charts.

He should have been shipped out instead of Mike Miller.
