Mannix reported Tuesday that rival executives think Bradley "could command a contract in the neighborhood of $7 million to $9 million per year." The Boston Celtics would have the option of matching any offer, but a salary that rich could leave them with a difficult decision. Three league sources agreed during separate conversations with MassLive.com that $6 million per season sounds about fair, but all it would take is one team willing to pay more.

Do you want Ainge to pay that to keep him?

No.

I'd still be shocked if he's offered that.

Let him walk then.

If someone is stupid enough to pay Avery Bradley upwards of $9 million a year, they can have him.

I would go to 7 mil IF we landed both Love and Melo first , otherwise let him walk. Or use him in a s+t for one of those guys . Nothing above 7 mil though

I don't see it either, but if some team did then farewell AB wish you luck in the future.

From what I recall the majority of posters here draw the line around 6-7

I'd go to 7.5 or possibly 8 million. Bradley is starting to really develop his off the dribble jumper, and his athleticism and quickness are obviously elite for a 2 guard. He can now create his own jumper very well in iso and can knock them down.

Most here might take him for granted, but like Tony Allen, you'll miss him a lot more when he's gone, and opposing guards keep lighting up the Celtics.

I'd be willing to offer 4 years at $7-8 million with the fourth year guaranteed for $1m.

I think that if multiple teams go hard at trying to sign Lance Stephenson, the teams that whiff will have a strong interest in Bradley as the next best available free agent SG and might be willing to overpay.

I think he has too much injury history to book his full value, and as a 3-and-D player that would really be his full value right there. That's Aaron Afflalo's money.

The salary cap increased by $4.5 million this year, way more than expected, and is forecast to rise another $3 million next year.  That expansion is largely going to go to players making above the MLE and less than the max, like AB is expected to.  Inflation happens, guys.

We will see about $7-9 MM. I love Ab but I doubt he makes that much on the open market without his contract being tied to how many games he plays.

Hopefully he either signs here for a heck of a lot less than that or we trade him and pick up an asset.
