Charlotte gets:

17th pick
Jeff Green

Boston gets:
9th pick
Bismack Biyambo
Jeff Taylor
Brendan Haywood

I could see Charlotte as being the rumored "taker" for Jeff Green if we decide to completely blow this thing up. Charlotte has made no secret that after tasting a little bit of success, they are ready to win now. I think Green would be a really nice fit for them. This deal would allow them to dump some dead weight salary, while getting immediate impact from Green, while also allowing them to keep a mid first round pick.

Celtics obviously get a much better pick, a productive (for his salary) asset in Jeff Taylor, and two stiffs in Biyambo and Brendan Haywood (although Biyambo may be a better fit here than he was in Charlotte).

This trade would obviously be part of the long term rebuild if we can't land Love (or Melo, etc). Thoughts?

I don't think Charlotte is getting quite enough in this deal, but who knows? It may be their option D or E. I would think they're hoping for someone more talented than Green if they trade their pick.

For the Celtics, it depends on who is there at 9. The pick would seem to have much more value if Randle, Smart, Gordon, or Embiid drops that far. After those 4 you get to the next tier unless you're thinking Elfrid Payton who I like.

I'd do that trade in less than a second. Makes sense if the Bobcats like Green

Charlotte's not doing this deal. No one gives a hoot about Jeff Green. Best we can expect is salary relief and / or one mediocre chip for him.

I wouldn't say no one.  I believe Houston or Washington will wind up with Green.

I don't believe Houston will.  They have their eyes on bigger fish, and they'll get one.

I think this trade over values Green.

The teams I expect to be interested in Green are Grizz, Suns, and charlotte . The jazz and Cavs could also be a possibility but less likely.

Grizz - Prince and #22

Suns -  #27   (had Frye in deal but just read that he declined his option)

Hornets - Biyombo, Neal, and #24

Jazz - #23

Cavs -  not sure for what maybe the #23 if they get it from Utah
Mavs
Wiz
Hornet

I'm probably the only one that thinks this favors charlotte.

Green and #17 for #9 (a move up of 8 slots but not in the primo draft real estate) and taking 3 underperformers off their hands --> how is charlotte not getting enough in return?  none of the 3 players coming to Boston are going to replace Green's productivity and as for #9, we can only hope they're Green-lite.  I'm all for moving Green in a good deal but this leaves us with just Wallace as our SF going into the season unless we're drafting an unproven rookie SF or signing someone who's only worth league minimum

Green for Lin and Asik for PP exception. Houston Signs Melo
Beverly/Harden/Green/Melo/Howard

Obviously Green for Lin is bad, but the price you pay for Asik.

I think Charlotte says no, but I don't think the deal is crazy given I don't put much stock in Biaymbo.

I think Charlotte would rather keep the pick this year and trade a future one though, then they would consider the deal as they plan to keep being a lower tier playoff team.

I've been thinking for the past 6 months the Grizz would be an excellent trading partner for Green.  However saying that I would hope for a higher draft pick than 23.  Prince is on his last legs but he is am expiring contract.

I think we'll be able to get Asik without giving up Green...if Houston is serious about going after some top shelf talent, then we're in the driver's seat.

I like the trade in the OP...Hornets will still get 2 quality players with Green and #17 (been rumored that Saric would fall that far, so maybe only one of those players going into next year will wear the uniform).

I would do Haywood and the 9th for Jeff Green and potentially add something small to make it more appealing for Charlotte.

DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I dont think we can use Green to move up in the draft.  We could trade Faverani and Green and the 17 to move BACK in the draft and go for MKG, Biyombo, and 24.
