Rondo and Olynk to Denver for Ty Lawson, Faried and #11. Would you do it?

Yes. We're losing Rondo anyway, get a really good PG in return for him, a hybrid SF/PF in Faried, and the #11 pick. That is great value.

Is this something that's actually been discussed or is this something that Goodman just threw out there for the hell of it?

If we don't make the playoffs next year, which is probably what will happen, then yes he most likely will leave. Rondo's a winner, and he wants to win. He's not going to waste the prime years of his career on a team that's a few years away from contending, unfortunately.

I am actually a big Ty Lawson Fan. I like the trade but would only consider this trade around the february trade deadline. Like rondohondo said, It deffinetely is a sidways like  move if we pull the trigger on it now. This is more of a nice plan "C" if Love, Melo, or rebuilding doesn't comply with Rondo's next move. Not worth pulling off at this current moment.

No way.   Lawson is probably a downgrade from Rondo.  I'm not a Faried fan... and there is a big drop off after the top 8 picks.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Sounds pretty similar to the Rondo to Sac deal which was supposedly bringing back the #8, McLemore, and Thomas.

If people were on board with that one, I think they would be on board with this as we should still be able to pick up Randle, Stauskas, or Payton.

I don't know, though - I love Rondo and it is Ainge's job to surround him with more talent. If he can't, however, then it seems pretty reasonable. I like Lawson and Faried.

Also, for some reason, I don't see Denver doing this lol. There young and deep in rebuilding.

No way.

You'd have to put Celtics18 on suicide watch if this happened.

I also think it is a sideways move. I am not a Faried fan. I dont think he has much of a role on a contender.

I would rather try to land a top 8 pick from LA or Sac.

If, if, if and most likely doesn't = we're losing Rondo.

Lawson is Lawson.  Faried is Faried.  You'll get what you get.  Meh.

I'd greatly prefer McLemore and #8.  You need to swing for home runs in this league.

We aren't getting McLemore and #8 for Rondo, though.  SO whatever.

Barring Love or Melo landing here, I'd be surprised if the C's let his value slip to nothing before FA next year.
