I bet Danny is trying to keep the 17th.    Probably making the choose between a future 1st or #17.

I'd be pleased if we can keep Green, Sully, and the BKL picks in this deal.
How about?

#6
Olynyk
S/T Bradley
Bogans

for Love & Martin?

I don't see how Chicago's deal is better than ours.  Would anyone trade the #6 pick this year straight up for 16 and 19?  I'd think not.

I'm beginning to think the Wolves won't deal with us out of spite or the perception of being their farm team. This whole win now attitude the Wolves are adopting is just a smoke screen. They have no chance to win now with or without Love in the Western conference.

That is why the smart move for them would be to take the 6th pick, and two future #1s, one from us and one from Brooklyn to maximize the chances that one of the teams stink, to try to get a star replacement.  Are Gibson and Snell taking them anywhere?  No.

The reason why I don't see Flip not taking the C's deal is that there is a chance the C's deal Rondo on draft night if Boston can't get Love.  That takes the C's away from competing next year and removes a potential landing spot for Love, ensuring they get less when they finally do move him.  Why would you do that?

Plus apparently Love isn't the most popular person in that locker room.  Do you want one more year of a disgruntled Love, or even half a year?  It doesn't make sense.

I don't think the Wolves get nearly what they are thinking they will.  If Love could be signed to a long term deal and traded like Garnett was then they'd get more.  For a one year rental you shouldn't get more than two first round draft picks.

I see the deal being
Celtics #6
Brandon Bass
Bogans-waived
Johnson-waived
One future Celtic's 1st
One future Net's 1st

Wolves
Kevin Love

The Sacramento Kings are fielding offers from three teams for the No. 8 pick in Thursday's NBA draft, sources with direct knowledge told ESPN on Monday.

Sources said the Kings have two deals that could be done prior to Thursday's 2 p.m. ET trade deadline to change the draft order and one would be a draft night deal, depending on which players are available when the Kings select.

The three deals would return multiple draft picks and a veteran player to the Kings for the No. 8 pick.

Sources wouldn't reveal the three teams involved in the negotiations yet, but a source said the discussions are more than talk now and the Kings are weighing the offers against the potential four players the Kings think will be available at No. 8, depending on what occurs in front of them in the lottery.

The Kings have had multiple offers for the No. 8 pick but have settled on these three possible deals.

Don't think we're in the picture even with your deal which I think would be as far as we'd go with our offer (filler being Anthony and unguaranteeds).  Minnesota wants players. Think they'll be holding Love after the draft.

Good news is that that according to Steve Kyler's GSW sources, Minnesota doesn't want Lee and the Warriors don't want Martin. Lee's got to go in the deal or to a 3rd party to make the deal work cap wise for GSW. 3 team deals are tough to do and Lee's contract stinks. GSW deal never made any sense to me and it may well be dead if Kyler's right.

Joining the trend of superstars opting out and being chased by diff teams :P

Young was set to make $1.2m next season.  The only reason he doesn't opt out is if he is not sure he can get a minimum contract anywhere.

Orlando waived Jameer Nelson and Doron Lamb (via RealGM)

Quote
The Orlando Magic have waived Jameer Nelson and Doron Lamb.

The Magic will save $6 million by releasing Nelson due to the non-guarateed part of his deal.

The Magic faced an important deadline on Lamb.

Lamb?s salary of $915,243 for the 2014-15 season would've become fully guaranteed if he wasn't waived before Wednesday.

Pau Gasol will meet with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls and Golden State Warriors in free agency.

The New York Knicks are also believed to be interested in Gasol, while the Los Angeles Lakers haven't been ruled out.

via RealGM

I'd love to see Pau Gasol on that OKC Thunder team. Pau and Ibaka would be an incredible combination and it'd be great to see Westbrook & Durant get to play alongside skilled inside and outside scorer & passing big like Pau Gasol.
